I don’t think this is a case of black people not dealing with reality of suicide and depression. Given the history of this country , it’s reasonable for people to be like “wait a min” when someone is found hanging in a public place as a black person. Most people do not hang themselves in a public place when commenting suicide to begin with, of any race. So it’s especially odd and add on the layer it’s a black male it’s only rational for people to be skeptical. If it was that he hung himself at home there would be less skepticism. But in front of a college dorm in full display of the public is not usual. So it was suicide?
Black people really don’t want to deal with the reality of depression that we have in our community
It’s more easier to say murder and blame others
Turn off the selfishness in your own head and listen to your family members and friends who are going through something and get them help
Don’t understand why folks are so confused why people are skeptical of the official story up front given who it is and given what has happened in this country. Seems perfectly rational and it has nothing to do with an inability to accept black people can be depressed and commit suicide.
