I dont see how nikkas in DC are cool with 1500 bucks rent on a 700 square foot apartment an hour away from your job.

Yall also have to understand how the dmv works. Most folks live in va and md but commute to dc for work. People are just now moving back into dc with all the upgrades they are doing. Don't get me wrong people have always lived in certain parts of d.c but its far more cost effective to commute.

The one thing Atlanta has over DC is pretty girls. DC, it's rare to see a dime chick just walking down the street during lunch or jogging at the gym in the AM.
However, outside of that, there is nothing that ATL can provide to a young male trying to come up.
Entrepreneurs may like it because it's an easy come up in ATL where you have a concentrated population, a lot of hard workers who may not be as educated, and large amounts of disposable income. DC is more networking/education/long term growth

The real question that you nikkaz ain't asking, how are the non-buppie working class or lower black folks living? I love DC but I think I'd rather be a hoodrat living in a 1700 sq ft house in the hood going skating and enjoying the weather in ATL than paying $1000 a month to live in Barry Farms SE, and risk getting shot at the gogo for entertainment every weekend

The saddest part about DC black, they are a lot of us making good money, but we still arent working together at all. Cacs are still moving all the moves.Blacks getting moved up out of DC. Buncha c00ns here. There's really no traditional black culture here. Lot of fakeness. Buncha c00ns trying to be elitist. Sad. You should see these c00ns in this bldg i work in. These sistas love these cacs, think being seen with a powerful cac is winning.
I've lived in DC from 2004 to present. I'm moving to Texas or Atl this year.

I don't understand why people think socioeconomic differences aren't a valid reason for wanting to separate yourself.

You're not in the position to be acting like white people. White people are the most favored race on the planet. Blacks are the most despised. Just because someone is from the ghetto doesn't mean they don't have aspirations. I meant nothing about condoning ratchet behavior. So someone from the hood might have a certain demeanor due to him or her having to survive in that type of environment but they are a genius, you're saying it's okay to keep out one of your own in a society that's hostile to all black people because he's from the hood? No wonder black people are so fukked up mentality. How in the hell is their suppose to be any real upward mobility if no one is opening doors for those that are willing in our community but are from the hood?
PS - Stop with all the socioeconomic bullshyt. That would hold true if the average middle class black person had some dignity and integrity, but let's keep it real, them nikkas are just
