I'm not really sure everything has a cause. I find this universe to be quite chaotic. Nothing suggests that it is orderly at all, but I'd like to hear your opinion on that.

Chaos =/= cause......unless I'm misunderstanding your statement, otherwise, in physics, it's known as the 'Butterfly Effect' which follows all natural Laws, especially those of Causality. All I'm stating is that through observation and empirical evidence, the Universe (everything) has not been around 'forever', therefore, it had a beginning/start.

This may give you a better understanding although I'd advise you to read the book.........

I'm open to anyone that's asks...my only friend...my best friends knows, and so does my family....I have an aunt on my mothers side that is also an atheist so on her side there is no rift, but my father's side they are super Christian and I have had an argument with a cousin over my lack of belief...I have had girls from high school stop talking to me or unfriend me on Facebook for being an atheist

So yeah how'd you break the news to your parents?

And did those friends drop you on fb because of a post you made? Or were they doing the "I'm trying to get closer to God" thing?

Naw, everyone else in my family is Christian except a few cousins here and there. I'm open to my lack of belief, but I don't belittle - or try not to, anyways - others beliefs. That said, my family takes it hard because I'm not Christian which makes me the odd one out. It's not too bad though. I'm not exactly one to hide who I am. It has never caused a rift between and other ladies because surprisingly, belief is dying down with women our generation, and especially with non-blacks. The amount of agnostic/atheists I know compared to theists, friend-wise, is about 60:40.

Those who ARE Christian, you make it a point to not step on any toes and be respectful. Ultimately though, I do not wear my lack of belief on my sleeve. It doesn't really matter or make up who I am. I just don't believe in God, and that's it. I don't pray at family functions, but I'll bow my head to respect. If someone makes comments or remarks I try to leave them to it unless they ask my opinion or try to insult me. But if they do, I try to do so in a respectful manner.

Well thats cool that you're not a douche atheist. It takes me a lot of self control, so I'm sure its the same for you as well. I'll ask you the same question as innocent, how'd you tell your parents? And why? I'm sure you knew that they wouldn't understand.

Also do you think you get judged for saying you're a buddhist as well?

It means you don't believe in God and anyone with the aforementioned behavior surely doesn't believe in the god of the bible. That's my position: if you have little to no morals you don't believe in God; you can't believe God - you are an atheist.
