You're late. Black feminism has been around since before that agent. She's a joke. Black feminism was the precursor to the feminist movement, in fact Ida Barnett Wells was a women's suffrage icon. She just firmly believed that black economic success was the way to do it and she was the leader of the anti lynching movement as a result because whites started to attack blacks in Mississippi where she lived due to their newfound economic success. She was also able to see through Susan B Anthony and Liz Cady Stanton white women's suffrage facade. She was a proponent and a big supporter of the black family.
fukk Steinem. She pretended to support Dr Angela Davis and Assata Shakur while she was the agent who directly worked for the CIA and was after them. She effectively destroyed the Black Panther Party. I don't buy into this white women nonsense.

So black Feminism, was to replace the man of the household for economic equality WITHOUT THE HUSBAND/ FATHER.
I've never claimed to be a feminist. Tell you the truth I never know how to respond in these type of threads without sounding dumb.

I'm to emotional to be a feminist. The ideologies sound good in theory, but it seems most times at the detriment of all blacks as a collective. Anyway this article is new to me but I'm not surprised, a certain group has been trying to separate the black family for as long as we have been here unfortunately some of us have been blinded and fell for the okey doke (and I don't mean black feminism specifically). I've been doing some reading and it seems it didn't start the way it seems to be portrayed now. I still have a lot of reading to do in that aspect tho.
It would be nice if black women and men had our own organization for us by us that deals with all of our issues. Where black woman or black men didn't feel left out of the equation. I might have some "feminist" views when it comes to things like equal pay, but I'm pro black family above all else.

Women have been taken advantage of by the devil ever since Eve ate from the tree of knowledge. And they're still eating. That's why buy here pay here ripoff auto places feast on black women's tax returns. That's why the subprime mortgage crisis disproportionately affected black women. The problem is, just like Adam, a lot of men are eating the apple too. You've fallen for this perverted notion of equality (which basically boils down to disposable) so, instead of building our community we cower behind our women and insult them from a position of weakness. Those that do have a protective mindset are out here like Don Quixote tilting at windmills trying to address each and every endless complaint women can muster up instead of building the community. Fellas we gotta do better...

Black feminism was the precursor to mainstream feminism yet still hasn't produced any tangible benefits for black women or the black community.
