I'm a black feminist because I don't want to be called a bytch or a ho.

I'm a black feminist because I want black men to prioritise (to the exclusion of any other woman) black women

I'm a black feminist because I want black men to build real families with black women
Black feminism isn't required for any of those beliefs tho.

You don't need black feminism for any of those things.

Black feminist ain't shyt but a distraction; they ain't worth shyt. Where were the black feminist when Renisha McBride had her face
blown off; what about Rekia Boyd.

The only time you see a black feminist is when it comes to hating on black men and interracial dating.

7 black women killed by police (6 of them unarmed)

No black feminist protest for non of the sisters who were killed.

Just ask black feminist what has black feminism done for black people socially, economically, politically, and infrastructure wise you will hear crickets. Although it is not all MOST black feminist hate black men or have no respect for them. They look at black men as incompetent children.

So black Feminism, was to replace the man of the household for economic equality WITHOUT THE HUSBAND/ FATHER. :jbhmm:
I don't know what you are talking about.

Are you familiar with Ida Barnett Wells? She advocated for the black family and black economic empowerment, was married to a black man, had four black children and took time off from her lectures to raise them. Susan B Anthony took offensive to that. It shows the difference between the two ideologies.

Trust me, if black women could get a good black man to lead and provide for them they would. We are just not afforded that ability (fortunately I am). Maybe if you are talking about new age radical feminists, then I'd see your point.

Agreed with you until your last paragraph.

There are more than enough good black men. Saying otherwise is perpetuating the biggest ever myth in society.

Now if you said there aren't enough good men who are 6 ft, make $500k/year, and look like Idris, then I'd agree.

Sorry I didn't mean it that way.

I am dead at you taking that from her post. She literally said NOTHING of the sort. :russ:

But basically your post encapsulates why coli men (or other Black male misogynists) are to never be taken seriously on the subject of Black feminism. Not to be rude in saying it that way, but I can't think of any other way to put it. You guys don't actually know (or care) about anything that Black women go through that you can't relate to or doesn't revolve around you as a Black man, let alone know about the movement created to address those issues. So instead, you create straw man after straw man about what it is, and have your friends who also don't know or care, back you up.

Truth be told, the reason so many of you knee jerkingly hate Black feminism is because you don't see Black women as equal to you nor do you want us to see ourselves that way. You fear that if Black women believe they aren't merely here to be secondary to you as men who make all the decisions and rules, you will lose the little power you've been allowed to have over Black women (and only Black women) in this white supremacist patriarchy created by white men. That's what you all hate about Black feminism, the part that says you'll have to compete with other men in order to feel powerful, because Black women won't allow you to feel that power by subjugating us. It has nothing to do with preserving the Black family because most of you preach against commitment, marriage, and even taking care of children you create. And it definitely has nothing to do with dismantling the white power structure, because hating Black women's fight for equality and respect of our unique issues does absolutely zero to combat white supremacy and a lot to bolster it.

There's your reply @PoPo

Ida Barnett Wells was a women's suffrage icon. She just firmly believed that black economic success was the way to do it and she was the leader of the anti lynching movement as a result because whites started to attack blacks in Mississippi where she lived due to their newfound economic success.

Bless that woman :wow:

You're late. Black feminism has been around since before that agent. She's a joke. Black feminism was the precursor to the feminist movement, in fact Ida Barnett Wells was a women's suffrage icon. She just firmly believed that black economic success was the way to do it and she was the leader of the anti lynching movement as a result because whites started to attack blacks in Mississippi where she lived due to their newfound economic success. She was also able to see through Susan B Anthony and Liz Cady Stanton white women's suffrage facade. She was a proponent and a big supporter of the black family.

fukk Steinem. She pretended to support Dr Angela Davis and Assata Shakur while she was the agent who directly worked for the CIA and was after them. She effectively destroyed the Black Panther Party. I don't buy into this white women nonsense.

Yup, I was reading in The New York Times how many educated American women will need to date down for blue collar types because the gender/education gap is huge, regardless of race.

You repeat this same dumb shyt over and over even after it's been refuted. You're not even addressin the information in the OP, let alone refutin any of the valid points that posters have made for why they don't support black feminism. All you can do is argue against the "yall hate black feminism because yall just don't want black women to be equal" straw man. You're not changing anybody's mind with this dumb shyt.

It's because their counterproductive and should be called out.

It's already been shown that Black "feminism" has lead to the destruction of the Black family and any so called Black woman claiming to be a feminist isn't to be taken seriously at all. Let them be the white man hating lesbians they emulate.
