. I don't live in Harlem, and I moved out of Brooklyn a long time ago. It's your responsibility to work with the people in your community to make your community better.
I live in Atlanta now, and I work with a few organizations trying to fix problems we see here. It's not my job to fix the problems in your community, that's your responsibility. No one is going to take your concerns seriously if you won't even talk to your own family about the shyt.
Just in the exchange I've had with you in the last 30 minutes let's me believe you're not even remotely serious about the discussion.
If it happens again, I may have to go the loud route even though that's just not me at all but it was creepy enough to warrant getting out of character.
I volunteer w/ rape survivors and my hospital has campaigns and educational promotions on our legal rights, fundraisers and other things to support women (and men). Due to the increasing attn on street harassment my efforts in this project can extend to that, so I wouldn't say that I take 0 initiative.

Are you involved in any community meetings in the city you live? Because based on y'all nikkas responses it seems like you don't even know whats going on in your own community and the issues that need to be resolved.
The men in the part of Atlanta I live organized community meetings to address the problems we have. Every Wednesday the men meet and we started inviting the women to have their own meetings on Thursdays. We're organizing neighborhood watch meetings right now and we've already started teaching various classes. We actually discuss with the women in our meetings the issues we have. I've already invited my girl to start going to the female meetings (she hasn't gone yet, but I'm on her ass about it
).The idea that black men don't give a fukk about our women is straight bullshyt.

We're not talking about white supremacy. We're talking about an issue that the black women in our community say they're having with some of the black men. @The5thLetter said she don't even know who the black male leaders in harlem are, but she feels they're unable to address the problem. She also said she hasn't even spoken about the issue with any of the men in her family. She's taken 0 initiative to fix a problem other post online about how she's being harassed by men on a consistent basis. And instead of you encouraging her to actually do something to solve the problem, you want to create straw man arguments and troll for female daps

So let me get this straight, there's been a steady decline in black male violence in our communities for the last two decades, but because it's not moving fast enough for you, that means that every other issue our community faces can never be solved?
