Black women participated in 13th as commentators, they talked about 2 Black women leaders (they talked about 3 male leaders), a long with highlighting a woman's excessive sentence for possession (the only other specific person for sentencing they focused on was Kalief Browder)

They mainly talked about the system the focus was more towards Black men, which I agree with because they were the main targets especially in the beginning. Black women weren't completely left out at all tho.

This is dumb divisive complaint by her and I don't agree with it. It was a very good documentary.

The shyt ppl do on message boards
Typing just to get views
People are now doing with thinkpieces

Didn't think about it like that..but cmon now, there was some female representation throughout the film...I just looked at the numbers in the film as being geared toward black people as a whole...plus the director is a black woman so...

their work is never done :wow:
its so ingrained they just do white supremacists work now without even being instructed to
cacs did such a good job fukking us mentally for hundreds of years, look how it pays dividends :merchant:

But by centering the story of the criminalization squarely on black men, 13th invisibilizes the unique conditions that compound and give way to both cis and transgender black women’s experiences in America at the intersections of racial and gender policing.
when i see terms like "cis" "trans" and "intersectional" in a complaint piece, i immediately raise an eyebrow cause i know the flood of BS is bout to pour out

A black woman produced and spearheaded the documentary. What are they talking about? :russ:

She's has created so many opportunities for black women and women of color in the film industry. She employed female directors, staff and crew on Queen Sugar to give them a chance in the business.

Ain't the director of the doc a black feminist her damn self? Wtf sup with these whores :gucci:

They don't care about the empowerment of black women. They simply want more butter biscuits from white men when they spread misinfo, cause divisions, troll etc. Expect the c00ning & wenching to kick in over drive next on the 20th.

It's not about the lack of bw representation this boils down too.

White society is using self-loathing black faces to tear down wnything positive and informative concerning black people.

Anything a black feminist hates and attacks should be supported by black people.

This times 100. They hate themselves and everything concerning black people (specifically black men) and will tear them down in a heartbeat to receive a pat on the head from white daddy
