Black women participated in 13th as commentators, they talked about 2 Black women leaders (they talked about 3 male leaders), a long with highlighting a woman's excessive sentence for possession (the only other specific person for sentencing they focused on was Kalief Browder)

They mainly talked about the system the focus was more towards Black men, which I agree with because they were the main targets especially in the beginning. Black women weren't completely left out at all tho.

This is dumb divisive complaint by her and I don't agree with it. It was a very good documentary.

Didn't think about it like that..but cmon now, there was some female representation throughout the film...I just looked at the numbers in the film as being geared toward black people as a whole...plus the director is a black woman so...

when i see terms like "cis" "trans" and "intersectional" in a complaint piece, i immediately raise an eyebrow cause i know the flood of BS is bout to pour out

She's has created so many opportunities for black women and women of color in the film industry. She employed female directors, staff and crew on Queen Sugar to give them a chance in the business.
