It's kind of insensitive to ask imo.

Also, it seems like black folks treat death a lot differently than white folks.

Really? Only times black people are private about death is if the family member had aids or committed suicide. Other than that black people stay telling how people died. Will even make up our own reasons as to why we think they died

"Yeah, his baby mother was keeping his daughter away, thats why he had that heart attack:mjcry:"

Telling business on top of business after somebody passes:mjlol:
yep just another weird attempt to โ€œvilifyโ€ black ppl and deify whitesโ€ฆOP mustโ€™ve known a lot of dead folks to come to such a definitive conclusion lolโ€ฆsome ppl are just simply private when it comes to those mattersโ€ฆdidnโ€™t know it was based on race tho lmao
Idkโ€ฆmaybe I just donโ€™t notice as often or care how white folk deal with it but Iโ€™ve definitely noticed how funny we can be about disclosing cause of death. :manny: Particularly with black celebrities and itโ€™s aggravating because who knows how many lives could be saved with cautionary tales. Like I remember getting frustrated that we never found out how Ecstasy from Whodini passed. Dude was only in his mid 50s.

Facts. I've been noticing this a lot recently the past couple of years. It's very annoying.

People can't mourn in peace?
You can but don't bring it to social media if you don't want to reveal how the person died.

I had to do a whole investigation to find out how my facebook friend died. 90% of the people who posted about his death ignored all the questions asking what happened and how did he die. The questions were to be expected because he was young and it was out of nowhere. I found the answer after creeping on about 5/6 people pages :martin:

Itโ€™s annoying cause they are seeking attention by virtue of posting it publicly then at the same time feigning privacy
If itโ€™s some 80 yr old then whatever but itโ€™s totally reasonable for ppl to wonder about a sudden death or young person dying
Other people might need that closure

Then the other thing is there will be ppl gossiping about the cause of death behind the scenes ANYWAY so might as well dead all that up front
