Whenever I see posts about a relative of a white friend die they always “ My dad died of heat stroke, please make sure you stay hydrated or if you are elderly stay indoors”, “my sister was killed by a drunk driver on intersection 80 and First Street, please don’t drink and drive”, or “my aunt lost her battle with breast cancer, it was caught late, people remember to go get screenings early so that you or your lover ones may have a better chance fighting it”
Black folks though, our shyt gonna say “stop asking what happened mind your damn business”, “please keep my family in your prayers during this time and don’t ask what’s going on”, “if you gonna say anything other than my condolences keep it to yourself”.
Like damn, nikkas ain’t trying to bring awareness to anything.

. I honestly never ask that question unless I knew the person. Why ask how a stranger died? Just say sorry to hear that and keep it moving.
