How many "stereotypical blacks" do y'all know getting these advanced degrees though?
Let's be serious here![]()
Is that black woman from the hood or inner city? Because if that’s the case I could understand that feeling she’s talking about ( I struggle with this myself) but she also looks biracial which could mean she’s trying to learn her “blackness” and is using racial stereotypes of what she wants.
Respect to her for putting her name on it. Hopefully it doesn’t affect her professional career.

nikkas juelzing in here but we all know what she means and it doesn't have anything to do with black people being a monolith![]()
Actually not necessarily a lot of law firms get their "black talent" from Howard Law that sometimes a Black law student who went to Harvard might get overlooked.
So actually make good arguments instrad of smileys this is a legit serious conversation to have instead of stupid ass condescending qoutes "why is it so hard to understand?"

So is it really that far of a stretch that people who hold the same interests, went to the same schools, and got the same degrees would be similar regardless of race? It’s like black people are the only ones that aren’t allowed to have depth. Everybody has to be a certain way or else they’re not a “real” black person.

you know it will. "you just arent living up to our expectations anymore, do you really want to work here?"

and validate the criticism. They don't want that. Believe that. Might not be much, but her speaking out could get another black head or two into the fold.
Law firms recruit from Howard because its Howard - how many Law firms recruit from NCCU, UDC or Grambling?
Mind you I literally have cousins who went to Harvard and ones that went to UDC and NCCU.
And they are Vastly different and grew up in different environments.
I thought it was cool they mentioned this in watch dogs 2. "Code switching" and everything
