I honestly believe this strategy has the opposite effect. I don't have the hard evidence, but I believe this exposure helps embolden these people and spread their message. It's like with Trump during the election, the media felt that giving him non-stop coverage would create massive outrage at him, but he only became more popular and ended up winning the election. :francis:
unless you bury them, you don't win.

He gave her that straight unfiltered wake up call and she still denied her Blackness :deadmanny: "You can't save everybody"
"my skin color doesn't define me" is such a glaring statement.:picard:

It used to be an empowering thing, but on second thought, its sheer weakness and capitulation :wow:

wtf , you're not making sense

a black person immigrant? That's a black person! Black Latinos and AA are the same - they just were enslaved in different islands or countries. I never seen Latino as a Race on any census i filled out.
Motherfukker are you really this dumb? :laff:

Yeah I started dapping without watching the clip

She clearly said she was black

She said that she was a Black-Immigrant. African Americans have tried to tell foreign Black people that when they get to America then crackas only see a nikka. They don't give a fukk where you are from. To crackas you are just a coconut eating nikka with a funny accent. The operative word is nikka and don't forget it.

So she said she is black, Cuban and an immigrant. Nothing she said was a lie. But yet we're in here crying because she didn't say she was just black.

I'm glad I don't deal with people this sensitive in every day life.

goes into the interview - hi , I'm Cuban from Univision and want to interview you.

during interview - i'm a black person....immigrant

KKK: well wait a cotton picking minute, you told me you were Cuban before...look if it's all the same to you, you're a ****** in my book. Lets avoid the confusion

Lemongrass, cherries, alkaline water
there you go

with the cameras off, she told him she was Cuban - the way he said it, it was like you didn't tell me you were black type of shyt.

that black shyt came out when the cameras was on and she was trying to stir him up...

yall don't get it - this is what these latins do. Black by convenience and when it suits them

her skin color does define her, too bad she lives in lala land...if she was in Cuba under Batista she wouldn't have been no damn reporter.

she's Colombian not Cuban, goofy cac just couldn't remember the right country she told him. I don't doubt that some latinos do the Black when its convenient thing, but you also cant ignore nationality is paramount in many countries in the caribbean and latin america - the nationality trumps whatever color they are in how they choose to identify, for people of all shades. A white Colombian might tell you they're Colombian before they say they're white. Our history here in the US has dictated otherwise in terms of how we choose to identify but it aint for us to dictate to every other Black person in the diaspora how they have to identify, let them learn and adjust however they see fit.

It's like an ingrained inferiority complex. :mjpls:

They don't realize that this woman is a journalist. They acting like she just went to chop it up with a KKK wizard :mjlol:. Nah dummy she went there to confront him about their attitudes towards immigrants and goaded him into a response by mentioning she was also black, which she never at any point denied being.

'

okay then why didn't she correct him when he called her Cuban?

why didn't she say "I'm the first Colombian immigrant"

yall really being dense right now, behind the scenes its one things....cameras on she tried to play up the black thing, which apparantly didn't come up previously in their discussion

if you can't see what she did then you're blind....more power to her, since at the end of the day her skin doesn't define her.
