As I get older I'm really starting to dislike everything about weaves. So many women rely solely on the weave, and don't take care of their natural hair. Which is why so many black women are balding by the time they get into their 40s. That glue and the scalp irritation is fukking things up.

Not saying no one should wear a weave, I'm just saying it's bad to wear it exclusively while not taking care of their real hair.

We need more mothers who teach their daughters to have confidence in their real hair. And we need fewer black men who want to talk shyt about black women's hair, and end this "good hair=straight hair" self hate.

we in the same boat man. I never really had a preference, but im starting to look at weaves sideways now. Im starting to see how ridiculous it looks and how sad it is at the same time.
