Black men, how did we allow this matriarchy in the black community?

We can't "fix" the black community, because many blacks are either in denial, or part of the problem.

The best we can do is close shop when it comes to complacent and destructive black folks. Let the feminist hoodrat mothers, thugs, drug dealers, and other people who "bout that life" liquidate themselves to the ghetto and the prisons until they eradicate themselves...and stay as far away from them as you can.

you say they were better because they fit your european ideas of what a family should look like. you say they were better because things would have been to your benefit if they still progressed today. tell me, if you found someone who felt the 1950s political structure was just fine do you think they'd be white or black? of course white because it was of benefit to them.

i think european ways have rubbed off on many of you. we hate it when whites try to speak on us as if they know what is right for us, and here you go speaking on black women as if you knew what family structure was best for them at the time

a low divorce rate does not mean things were fine. divorce used to be very taboo. people would just stick it out and suffer.

Do you think today's family structure is best for them (women)? If it is better for them does that make it better for us (our community)? Can we ever reach true family equality where every gender feels that the structure is the best for them?

We are a matriarchy inside of a patriarchy; Why haven't whites tried to move to a matriarchy, if we say they control us? Is following european family structure ideas a bad thing if they have been recently more successful in sustaining a community?

Women don't build communities; and if they do they haven't in this country using this structure.

Do you think males and females should be given roles?

Under a matriarchy what are the males roles?

:ohhh: Just some questions I am pondering.

Sure we can, but not by hiding your head in the sand and looking myopically at the events of the last 60 years when the problem has existed for hundreds of years prior. You're treating the symptoms instead of the disease.

The REITERATION of the CASTRATION of the black male POPULATION of our NATION

...wheretofore the result was DEGREDATION
leading the the SEGREGATION of the male and female, SEPERATION
causing DEVESTATION and later DESECRATION.

What is needed now is ILLMUNATION of the SITUATION, which begs for ACCUMULATION of INFORMATION instead of the INSIMINATION of ASSIMILATION of intra-CRIMINALIZATION of each other. To do that we must be Brave, like the team that plays on the SUPERSTATION. Keep hope alive.

How? What power do we have if we don't control anything?

blacks spent $1.3 trilli in the United States in 2011

12 sectors didn't even receive ads/involvement from other populous

massa where do we go? all i need is you massa: ok thug, nga, 2, bwoi, drkie, robbie, go into real estate...yessa you is all I'z need...you treat them well...

When is almost all sort of media blacks get underminded even in a non race convo...

But, no, really, go

- buy some land
- start a new community
- cater to the new community
etc etc

Australia was started by exiles/criminals/etc, who ironically enough, met the aboriginals who had been in Australia for 40,000 years.

No, I do not think today's family structure is what is best for women, but that doesn't mean the family structure of the 1950s or 1960s was what was best either.

I think that we should revert back to the egalitarian family structure that many areas of Africa had. We are all equal human beings, but equal does not mean we are the same. We should respect the differences between genders. Women wanting equality doesn't mean they want exactly what men have or that women gaining power will result in less power for men. I think we should learn to respect one another and ourselves.

Whites are matriarchies as well in this country today. They are just 2 parent matriarchies. The patriarchy during slavery is what black men saw daily and wanted that power.

Women don't build communities? :whoo: You say that like it is something encoded in dna. As if history hasn't suppressed what women are capable of doing. If we are going to ignore history then I guess this whole thread is rubbish and it is in black man's dna that he is a poor leader.

do i think people should be assigned roles according to gender? no. does every man you know lead well? does he lead himself well? would you trust him to lead others? of course not. assign roles according to strengths and personalities

for my family, it is important that i have a say, that what happens to me matters. However, i recognize my judgement isn't always best and to achieve the best family i'd like an egalitarian family

if patriarchy was so perfect as you want to say, then why did some women speak against it? why didn't blacks attain everything they needed in their communities when families were ruled under patriarchs?

there has got to be a balance with genders

lets not generalize socio-economic conditions...how does "emerging" africa have more black business multi-millionaires and multi-billionaires leaders than the United States?

and the leader in africa are not just sports, music, acting figures (does that plaque your mind, they wanna give you money for skill, but not education)

leadership is critical in a relationship and in leaderships "followers" are needed.

:what: because Africa has more black people. much, much, much more black people. african americans are maybe 30-40 million of over a billion blacks on this planet.

of course there would be a greater amount of black billionaires in a place that has so many more black people.

which is why slavery is ok. whites were just being leaders and they needed some followers and if blacks didn't want to be followers we would not have stayed in that role for so long :ohlawd:
