Black men, how did we allow this matriarchy in the black community?

I see nothing of the sort from her. Again, EQUAL does not mean anything else but that.

Her opening post was to the tune that just because men were "running" their houses didn't mean women liked it.

What's wrong with being sexually open, or people choosing what they want to do with their bodies?

Those two are not the same thing. People can do whatever they want with their bodies, yes - but other people don't have to know.

So you are saying that these fathers were never around?

No, that wasn't what I was saying.

It doesn't matter who reaches more. The fact of the matter is, the system makes MORE adjustments and allowances for black men to succeed at the educational level than it does for black women.

But it does matter if one group isn't reaching that status as much as the other group. That leads us to question why that isn't happening.

Is the concept of "independence" something that the CIA implanted though? That's the point your are missing. It's not some big conspiracy. People like doing things for themselves.

"Independence" from what, though?

You didn't have to say the bolded. It's the underlying idea in your posts. Women have jobs/education/can have sex and they don't have to stay in the kitchen anymore and somehow you guys feel threatened and emasculated because you can't control anther human being. They have a right to choose and y'all don't like it.

No, women having rights and being able to choose is great. The issue is where women have acheived this new womanhood and feel they can reshape manhood.

So you are saying that these fathers were never around? That implies a problem on both sexes, not just the women.

It doesn't matter who reaches more. The fact of the matter is, the system makes MORE adjustments and allowances for black men to succeed at the educational level than it does for black women. Black women also encounter a glass ceiling that black men don't seem to have the same problems with.

I see it as only the strong surviving. :ehh: Back in the day, weaker men could be hidden by the weakness of women. The shade has been pulled and only the strong are making it out. :lawd:

In the black community, single women are running a lot of the households because there is not man around. Helga also goes on to say that she thinks households should be equal. To keep holding on to a semblance of another idea and then try to equate that one idea with everything everyone else has said makes your argument petty and trivial. Move on.

Black men are basically being handed post-secondary education opportunities, but somehow black women are benefiting from affirmative action more? Also, do some research on the glass ceiling disparity between black men and women. Black men are stopping themselves from going further, the system actually gives more opportunities to black men and rewards more on the corporate level as well.

I don't see women reshaping manhood. How does a woman have a job/sexual freedom/etc. reshape your job/freedom/etc. as a man? :what: No one is reshaping manhood but those nuts in Sweden.

"Independence", IDK. I ask myself the same thing when y'all keep using that term to describe people who just want to feel/be equals.

Many of you like to shame republicans, but if you only realized how similar you are to them when it comes to the subject of females. This board literally turns into the GOP.

I go to an HBCU (the same kind of institution many of you black people will shyt on in an attempt to be elitist/please yt) with some of the finest black thinkers and teachers of our's and our parent's generation. :wow:

If it has something to do with black people, I damn sure know about it. :pachaha: :win:

@DaChampIsHere is dropping so much knowledge in here, but no one other than a select few will listen.

Where did we go wrong?

How can we fix it?

Honestly, I never really understood the idea of the black female matriarchy. I never saw it growing up, and I've never experienced it in my life. I guess that's the privilege of having your pops around :manny:

My family is Jamaican though, so that may have something to do with it. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner was cooked everyday by moms. Our clothes was ironed and washed every week. And my pops was the king of the castle. So me growing up, that's all I've seen and known. Had a bunch of friends growing up who were the same way.

I date 100% black women, and I've never had a situation where broads try to lead or take control of the relationship. I pick a direction where I want to go, and they always follow. I've always had women cook for me, and women have never come at me disrespectfully. And I never ask broads to do any of that either, they all just fell in line.

The fact some of y'all nikkas is feeling emasculated, I don't even know what to say. I couldn't imagine me having a woman talk reckless to me, BOTH my parents would disown me immediately.

NOt having pops in the home....its as simple as that. I personally think a lot of chicks would like to have the 2 parent home, Dad works, mom takes care of the kids kinda deal but us as "men" haven't really stepped up in the past 20 or so years. I am seeing more men be in their kids lifes but not marrying baby momz...its a bad look all around. :manny:

You know what I mean. It's harder for black men to get to that point, but in actuality

- You can have lower grades/scores as a black man when compared to a black woman and still get in college AND have more scholarship opportunities available to you
- You will be paid more for the fact that you are a man
- You are more likely to get promoted and advance up the corporate ladder.

One thing for sure even though I never agree with the likes of @Broke Wave, @CrimsonTider, and at times @DaChampIsHere, Their analytical and debating skills strives you to have a firm foundation on your beliefs and ideals and a needing a grasp on how to defend them. I'm tempted to do in depth studies and reseach on why I have a stance on the subject matter that I do and learn how to better defend them. So in that I salute ya'll my liberal counterparts though I disagree with ya politics. Pos rep coming

It was easy for black women to take over because black men and women preety much been equal in everything in america.Hell the first black Millionaire was a woman if that does not tell you anything about the power black women had then what will?
:snoop: you dudes are so lost

It's not about one or the other taking over or holding "the power" if you are A MAN it's nothing any body can do to change that. If you are the leader of the household it doesn't matter who makes what you are still the man and still the leader. And a so called "independent" woman just needs a REAL MAN to show her how things should go. So many women go the "independent" woman route cause they lost faith in you worthless nikkas. You're just tryin to fukk, not build and lead a family so why should she respect you as a man and a leader. You think trivial thing like making the most money or holding the most "power" makes you a leader when in actuality BEING a leader is what makes you a leader

To all you dudes on here talking this emasculated shyt. Are you out activly looking for a wife? Or just fukking bytches. If the problem is the man not being in the household to guide the women, then the solution should be to go get a woman and make a family with her. Why don't you do the right thing and get married as opposed to perpetuating the cycle of baby mommas.

Hold up

Now you know logic is not allowed on The Coli

lol at black families choosing a welfare check over a father
Ridiculous...
The funny thing is, I never read her post in here before I made my long post about the war/Blaxploitation/etc., but the spike in black welfare recipients directly corresponds with what I was saying about the Vietnam War and black men being unfairly drafted and killed at higher rates while at war, leaving their women and families alone, single, and in need of welfare for reasons not related to this whole idea of feminism and CIA sponsored emasculation.

People on here will still opt to believe their conspiracy theories though. Even when you give them truth and facts. :pachaha:

My people... :dead:
