Black men, how did we allow this matriarchy in the black community?

The difference isn't necessarily due to discrimination, men work longer and women hold part time jobs more. Which doesn't coincide with the "advantage" argument black men supposedly have.:bryan: But hey, if working longer is an advantage then I'll take that.:dead:

What does that have to do with the fact that when these people hold the same jobs, one sex gets paid more than the other? :skip: :mindblown:

Do y'all even follow politics on this board? :mindblown: Apparently not, and I along with everyone else in this country along with the presidential candidates are just imagining these wage differences for the same careers, huh? :skip:

I can't :dead:

but thats the thing dog........if the mission is to bring in the bread, and both of you are doing it equally.......how exactly do u think she's going to consider u a leader? Why exactly should she?

She's able to lead herself just as well or better then you..........and she knows it.

So its like, once that comes into play the whole head of household role is perverted........

yea, its some nikkas out here with dikk control over their bytches......but thats a spell these nikkas have over their bytches.......

cause once they're in a certain element, lets say a buisness luncheon with her peers, i bet u that bytch will (weather overtly or sub) take the lead.....

That's where your thinking is flawed. The mission isn't to make money, it's to have a happy successful family. If the man leads the family to that it doesn't matter where the money comes from. Money doesn't equal leader, it's that type of thinking that will make a chick not repect you. If you demand respect a chick shouldn't even worry about how much money you make.

It's not "dikk control" it's "life control" if you convince a women her best bet for happiness and success is by following your lead, she will follow you to the depths of hell.

It's this idea that money and dikk run the household that is the biggest problem with young black males. Y'all don't even know how to lead yet you complain about leadership being taken away from you

I've never seen that stat in relation to black men/women (working the same occupation) :umad: only in comparison to white men. And anyway a difference of 6% though.:lolbron:

yo, i edited that post u quoted...do me a favor and cut and paste that joint in the box instead of this one............

but as far as what u saying.........that shyt doesnt make sense to me........
cause if you ask most people what they think goes into making a " happy successful family" that list is going to come back money related......

Best schools, nice house, nice car, family vacations, nice clothes, etc.......thats another way of saying money dog......

and if a female feels she is more adept at securing the things it takes to make a "happy successful family" then you are, she's going to assume that role of head of household.

Example: She recommends sending junior to a certain school, u disagree......agrument ensues.........

why? because she questions ur leadership on the topic.....

why does she question ur leadership on the topic? ............

My uncle for one. He doesn't work, my aunt works two jobs yet she better have his dinner cooked everyday. And he makes all the big decisions.

If this is the type of "leadership" Black men want over Black women, no wonder there is such a huge disconnect. That's a slave not a partner.

There isn't even any talk of companionship anywhere from the men here, just a concern about who will run what and who has power over whom. Very destructive and insecure way of looking at relationships.

I agree. It's not about who has the power. It's about the man leading the family to prosperity, I'm not gonna judge others households, but that's not how I run mine. Point is the woman should trust that this man will lead her and her kids to happiness and prosperity, if she doesn't feel that way he is not leading the household and the relationship will fail.

Read my post before the one you quoted.

Why would I be mad that you are ignorant? :skip:

And anyway a difference of 6% though.:lolbron:

More than that. You never seen the stat though so what do you know? :skip:

This board is hilarious. Y'all swear up and down I'm a troll, but then try to argue with me over the pettiest BS and you never even get close to proving a point. :mindblown: :pachaha:

All of the things you listed are trivial material things. New cars and family vacations don't equal happiness. In fact after a certain point people who have more money are more likely to be unhappy.

For your scenario at the end. Leading isn't just making the decision and her complying. It's going over all the info, considering all options and mutually making the best decision.

so what do you think makes a "happy successful family"?

I can't answer that for you. Happy is different for different people. Some people are happy living in the woods. A successful family sets it's kids up make equally if not more successful families of their own.

im asking for ur personal opinion....what would it take to make ur family happy and sucessful?

How exactly do u plan on setting your kids up to make them equally or more successful then yours? Is that all you believe it takes to make and keep ur wife happy?

One thing for sure even though I never agree with the likes of @Broke Wave, @CrimsonTider, and at times @DaChampIsHere, Their analytical and debating skills strives you to have a firm foundation on your beliefs and ideals and a needing a grasp on how to defend them. I'm tempted to do in depth studies and reseach on why I have a stance on the subject matter that I do and learn how to better defend them. So in that I salute ya'll my liberal counterparts though I disagree with ya politics. Pos rep coming

:salute: my nikka. Politics is one thing. On the other side of this is if we as black people are well researched and sharp, we can excel in the workplace

@kevm3 your post about feminism and the CIA was literally laughable, and you did not answer my question at all.

Can you please tell me of an era where by all statistical bounds of reason that Black people in America were BETTER OFF than they are in this era.

Black people are wealthier, healthier, more educated, and safer than they have ever been.

There has been a REPORTED increase, on your part, of single mother homes. Cant I make the same relationship between single mothers, and all these increases in the standard of living for African Americans? See how soft and flimsy that logic is?
