The music is a result of the systematic destruction of the black community :stopitslime:

if “White Mike” decided to create some jobs in the hood the murder rate would go down tomorrow
This is not true... most people doing the murdering are straight up lost cause degenerates....

you can’t convince me that the ones that will murder another black person For looking at them wrong could sit in a 9 to 5 taking orders from a boss all day. Get the fukk out of here with that “jobs stop murders” bs.

That Rick Ross example really drove it home. Nothing we didn't know but he's talking to white people.

And where exactly do you think that behavior comes from?

I see a lot of people in here posting and writing it off because the video is presented by a cac, but I see no one in here discussing where and if he was wrong at any point in the video.
:sas2:

Tedx is a good channel btw
He’s not saying anything new. I guess that ice might be a little colder huh? :sas1:

Like I said, you not refuting anything the cac said to the cac audience. So you just talking to talk
:yeshrug:
People have said what he said for literally 30 years. He’s not saying anything new. The problem with most of us is we don’t listen unless it’s coming from someone who doesn’t look like us. Case in point right here.

I'll agree with you on this. Look back through the years on this very site where you will have someone criticize rap music and how many people will crucify the op with excuses like, violence existed before rap, but they do it too, it's just entertsienter and you're week minded if it persuades you in any way shape or form.

Perhaps, but that wasn’t even the point of his talk. The point of his talk was why is American mainstream comfortable profiting off of Black violence where they aren’t comfortable doing so with other negative topics?

If a white artist made music about committing mass shootings, or committing suicide, or torturing animals, advertisers would back away. No radio station would play thrive on music that had a substantial amount of these topics. But they have no problem promoting Black folk killing each other. Now sure you can argue that it’s art imitating life, but a depressed CaC making music about mass murder, suicide, and animal torture would be art imitating life too. Yet advertisers and broadcast are very touchy with profiting off those subjects. They may let a few songs here there go, but they wouldn’t promote a genre dominated by it.

He gave a great example of Rick Ross rapping about murdering Black folk with no one barring an eye, but a single line about a date rape drug had the corporate world in a tizzy
