So basically Dreamcon is a Rap/Anime/Video-game/HBCU/Porn convention….

:mjlol:

Might as well have called it TheColiCon

Legit told me "thats your bytch favorite nikka" to describe him. I'm like my guy you can't be 37 glazing like this, this is madness my brother...

He keep rattling off random names of Kai underlings Whole time I'm :mindblown: WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE, WHAT DO THEY DO?!?!

It would be hard for me and that type of nikka to remain close friends after that conversation.

Sorry.. couldn’t do it. Raising kids talking like this is wild to me as well… any adult talking like this :hhh:.

If you say so

I know who some of these guys are of course, just because they're black and been on youtube since the beginning of YouTubes time, but saying “he would take your bytch” as a grown man and being serious is a bushable offense for me.

I get annoyed by friends who still try to argue about rap

I hate this narrative man, nobody gotta bullied for being nerds or liking anime. nikkas got bullied for being weird

by the time 2006-2008 came around watching anime was regular shyt.

Pokémon/DBZ/Naruto/BLEACH etc

followed up by MHA, and AOT years later.

Hoopers, Musicians, Football Players, Crips, Bloods all grew up on some form of anime

nikkas got bullied for Naruto running in
the hallway, having snot in their nose and being musty, NOT FOR WATCHING ANIME
what they mean is...it wasn't for YN's that lean more typical street nikka that watched only like...DBZ but really just likes RDC streams lol

whereas the type of nikka that actually really watches anime...and goes out of their way to digest new ones...likely won't be fightin' n shyt at a dreamcon lol

I went on Saturday, that element didn't bother me. It's all just entertainment at the end of the day. What people need to stop nikka-ing up are events like Afrotech. People are trying to get hired and are looking to learn from or network with actual domain experts. A certain segment uses it as an opportunity to get turnt and scout for sex or partners. It's bad for the brand. I doubt companies will be taking these events seriously if people are treating them like a themed club. The blame falls wholly on the event organizers, because a lot of the advertised offerings are too inclusive to the general black pop. You don't see the issue as much with the NSBE annual event because the org is decades old and the organizers are older folks. At the end of the day, the more tickets sold the more money in their pockets so fat chance of shifting gear for the newer events. If I were a serious event organizer, I wouldn't host serious black focused events in cities like Atlanta or Houston. Gotta be a city with no club culture first and foremost.
