I think the problem is yall just have this idealized view of rdcworld and what you projected on to them. So now you have this contempt at their expansion like people do when indie artists and rappers go mainstream.
These are not bullied kids who hid their anime collection and listened to Green Day and got no hoes. They’re hood nikkas into Jordan’s, fighting, rapping, roasting, hoes and who like anime and gaming.
You want them to be stuck in the same place with the same people doing the same things every year and 99% of the people upset didn’t even go the convention.

We're talking about the same anime convention. That also holds wrestling matches, dodgeball, basketball and family feud tournaments.
It's almost as if there's different subcultures who like anime. as evident by the fact that the people stepping are dressed as anime characters and the event partnered with fraternities.
