You comparison doesn't work because Nate Parker made a historic biopic and Peele directed a modern satire of american racism.
Two different types of films.
On top of that Nate Parker was targeted mainly for saying he was innocent of a crime he was accused of, not for speaking out about white supremacy.

Birth Of A Nation was the frontrunner to win all the awards. Now Get Out is going to win those awards.

And Nate Parker was not targeted. He KNOWINGLY accepted an interview where he knew he would be asked about the rape case. Then he kept doubling down with more interviews.

Good point, we need to be slicker about how we operate. Stop letting raw emotion cloud our logic.
They would be equally mad so what does it matter?
I don't understand the mindset.
That said I would much rather see the black actors an actresses and producers/directors/writers/ supporting black award shoes (not NAACP (jew run) or BET (white run)) awards but honest black organized and directed award shows instead of appealing for white awards and being in situations like this

Making White folks angry can be counterproductive though and its not like White tears means Black folks are progressing as a people.

When you are too loud against White supremacy and can mobilize people then White folks will have you killed i.e. MLK, Garvey, Sankara, etc.

Black folks definitely need a code to communicate beyond the understanding of White folks and we need to act without telling everyone we are.
They took away our language. That is what holds power in secrecy.

Yeah he was targeted. They asked him if he was sorry about being acquited in a rape case, what is he supposed to say when he believes he is innocent? What is off code about a black man saying, I am not a rapist, and I'm happy I was exonorated in a case regarding a rape.

There are a lot of movies that are "front runner or projected to be huge in the early stages but don't hold up. Free State of Jones is another movie.
Similar reception to Birth of A Nation IMHO.

Sound like you don't want Nate Parker to be accountable for accepting an interview where he knew what would be discussed before hand.

And not just 1 interview but multiple interviews.

This won't go anywhere so this back n forth ends now.

People just gotta move smarter dawg.

Lets use Jordan Peele and Nate Parker for example.

Jordan Peele sat back and let his movie do the talking. Did numbers all while exposing White supremacy.

Nate Parker on the other hand ran to White publications, got off code, spoke candidly about White supremacy, brought up a sexual assault case involving a White woman and caused Birth Of A Nation to bomb. Had he shut the fukk up or was more careful with what he said then the story of Nat Turner would be reaching wider audiences. Damn shame.
Peele is in bed with Viacom.. that in itself, is huge..

So we take them over and make them beneficial for us... The same way those white banks gave favorable home loans to white applicants and gave them sweetheart deals like levitown and small business loans where they paid back little at a time but paying it back at a low interest rate. We gotta have shyt in OUR favor a new black wall street would be bonkers... but if we build it we gotta protect it, technologically, physically, politically...media wise...

That's another issue.

If you were to analyze the Black Wallstreet ordeal ask yourself where the mistake was made. I hear a lot about creating black versions of China Town or remaking Black Wallstreet and I just start going

:whoa:

Not because I don't wanna see black folk shine but black "China Town" becomes a target any way you slice it. You don't need centralized, visible power. Just like you don't really need black leaders really because again, they just become targets. Farrakhan is probably the most powerful black person in the public eye. But the fact that he's actually visable lets you know where the limits to his power lie.

Saddamn Hussein was powerful right? He went from shytting gold to living like a ground hog. As powerful as he seemed the fact that his power was on display like it was proves that it was power that someone was allowing him to wield.

People call the President "the most powerful man in the world" because they want you to watch the birdie. You couldn't tell me who really runs this shyt because you ain't never seen em and you never will.

Watch them call you a c00n, though. :francis:

This is precisely why your parents would tell you, "you're doing TOO much, right now." That phrase used to mean something. There doesn't seem to be that sort of leadership anymore. No one is telling these kids to shut the fukk up and speak only when its necessary and the importance of staying on code.

Now because new age blacks think theres consequence for any behavior or statement.

The point is to stop giving white supremacists bait and fodder to tee off on you. They're already building cases against you, so don't do their work for them.

@Matt504 @SupremexKing @#1 pick @Clutch Robinson
There's an African proverb which FDR borrowed that goes, "speak softly and carry a big stick, you will go far". It's powerful, yet effective. This is also wypipo get scary or intimidated by a black person that works hard and keeps communication to a minimum in a work environment. They take knowledge as a sign of hostility.

White people are still hunting you down whether you moving in code or being unapologetic. There's no stealthy way to move

What you saying makes no sense. I said what I said, seems like you said something and then when the logic behind what you said was exposed you start trying to deflect.

Again why should Nate Parker have been "on code" in saying he did not rape a woman therefore he feels no remorse for the incident because he did nothing wrong?
Why can't we just say Birth of A nation, like Free State of JOnes, had award aspirations and didn't connect with audiences and thats all there really is to it?
