Secret power is the only true power. It ain't about making anybody mad, it's about not letting pride and self aggrandizement get in the way of your end goals.

For example, you open a grocery story called "Black Foods" because you wanna put on blast that it's black owned. Now you've alienated non-black people and thus aren't getting their patronage. Now in your personal life, alienating white folks may not be an issue or even the desired result. I find your comment about "secret power" pretty interesting. It makes me wonder if some of the posters here have ever watched The Spook Who Sat By the Door. To me, this movie does a good job of illustrating this concept of "secret power".

The protagonist went directly into the white government structure, and used the tactics he learned to go back home to train the men of the neighborhood to achieve their goals. He was doing this in plain sight of white folks by teaching the young men to use the stereotypes whites had about black folks against them (i.e. the concept of a black man with a broom and mop being invisible). The white people in the movie had no idea where to even begin looking for the people who stole their weaponry, for example, because the brehs were all working covertly but in plain sight, "on code" perhaps.
