With the domestic violence rate in Italy and Russia being as high as African America's, arguably Italians and Russian have an adversarial relationship with their own. The break in the relationship is due more to imaginary division and professional reactionaries than any real division. Those who go looking for problems will always find them. The solution is to evaluate positions and challenge them if they're countproductive or false (ergo the feminists) not capitulate to them and ruin any chance we have at better. Are black Americans perfect? No. Can they improve vis-a-vis gender relations? Does this mean everything a feminist says is right? No. Does this their supposed issues come before black empowerment?
