I can say the bolded is not true for NY and Philly urban radios.
Real Slim Shady, Cleanin out My Closet, up to Lose Yourself all got heavy play on the hiphop stations.
The last Em song I can remember getting heavy radio play was Smack That.
Em was played on 106 and Rap City as well, not just TRL

Smack that, is Akon's song

106 and Rap City are video shows

Cleaning out my closet was never on rotation on ubran radio, it was on the pop stations, says Way I am, and all his other singles

clear channel owned all the radio stations back then it wasn't no different

What exactly do you consider urban radio? Cause 97.9 in Houston has been an urban radio station for more than 30 years and Cleaning Out My Closet very well was getting a lot of non-pop radio play.

I already said people liked him. And you way off about Nas

Alright, let's just say we're 18 in 2005, what Nas songs besides Street Dreams, If I Ruled The World, Made You Look, and Oochie Wally are ringing off at random functions and clubs? Maybe Hate Me Now?

I don't listen to him, now.

But, we might have been my favorite rapper the summer of 2000...but, I was 12.

This!!! When I was 11 the hype around him and the crazy ass videos and lyrics wowed me.

but post 50 reign and as I grew older I’m not trying to hear him

Black people has always acknowledged Em could rap but we were never his demographic and Em knows that which is why his first singles were always the worst off the wall shock value shyt

I don’t get what OP is trying to do

While I didn't fukk with him, a lot of people did. Some of the most "street" kids at my middle school were playing Eminem "The Way I Am", in 1999/2000 he was a nationwide sensation, a once in a lifetime artist.
