I dont know anyone that didn't have MMLP lol. Thecoli always on some weird history revisionist shyt.

Eminem was like that one white friend you got in your circle

I definitely didn’t. It just goes to show you what we already knew. You can move all kind of units without a massive black fan base...

I also recall once 50 cent hit he took over.

My breh
I lived in 3 major markets between 2000-2003
Philly, NY and Houston
That’s Power99, Hot97, and 97.9 The Box
3 of the biggest urban radio stations there are....
All played Eminem
I was a radio kid, all I did was listen to the radio so I know...

Real Slim Shady was played a lot
D12/ Purple Hills (Pills) was played a lot
Lose Yourself is prolly Eminem’s biggest urban radio song
Superman, Cleaning Out, and Without Me all got heavy play on radio

like other brehs said, his urban radio play fell off around Encore

I brought MMLP myself and even stood in a long ass line for it on release days. But I wasn’t a big Em fan at all, I just bought damn near every rap CD back then, from every coast. Despite that, nikkas did not fukk with Em. You may have been like me, just a hip hip hop fan who gonna consume everything. But nobody talking bout this nikka at school, nobody talking bout dude on the bus, nobody talking bout him on the block, we not playing him in house parties, we not listening to him on the way to the club. Never have, never will.

Now to be fair, among the black people who are strictly more into that super lyrical type shyt, tend to like Em more. You can’t say it ain’t no black Superfans or Stans. And as ignorant as this might sound, I always felt like most the black Eminem fans grew up in the suburbs. Now of course it’s some Em fans from the inner city. But in general, that nikkas gets no love. And it’s not like people hate him. He just a non factor. You will probably get the default, yeah that white boy can rap response, but that cliche shyt to say and nikkas do not really listen to or check for dude

you don't know what you talking about

If what you said was true, nobody would disagree with because this something that was evident,

nobody is disputing Paul Wall being on rotation on black radio because he was Eminem never was

What exactly do you consider urban radio? Cause 97.9 in Houston has been an urban radio station for more than 30 years and Cleaning Out My Closet very well was getting a lot of non-pop radio play.

Alright, let's just say we're 18 in 2005, what Nas songs besides Street Dreams, If I Ruled The World, Made You Look, and Oochie Wally are ringing off at random functions and clubs? Maybe Hate Me Now?

You Owe Me, Street Dreams remix plus Nas had cuts with Jon B, Mary J Blidge, Mariah Carey, R Kelly, that we’re heavily played also, don’t compare Nas and em goofy.

I hate that I had to school you real quick..
