I also used to work as a security guard and came very close to being killed. Crazy thing is, I was an Unarmed guard. I always tell black people to avoid this field if possible. You deal with potentially violent people regularly and the cops are not your allies;. They're more likely to kill or arrest you than the suspect.

SIDENOTE: I always thought that's how "get out" should have ended if they wanted to be honest about America and give the movie lasting relevance :jbhmm:

Check the alternate ending. Even tho it was the most realistic ending, it would have totally ruined the movie. I saw Get Out twice in theater opening week. (I thought it was THAT good.) I saw it with two different chicks. At the end you can feel everyone in the audience holding their breath hoping that Chris doesn't get shot or arrested by the cop that comes. When you see Lil Rel everyone exhales and celebrates. If reality happened, everyone would have left that theater somber as fukk.

When you are in the military and you fire your weapon, aren't you held accountable for each round you fire? I was under the impression one can not fire indiscriminately while serving in the armed forces and you would get in trouble for each bullet you fire you can't account for. Thus, the marine, sailor, airman or soldier who would fire a weapon must always weigh the cost before pulling the trigger; there can be no free for all.

What I can't understand is why national police officers are not held to the same standard. There are standards in place for people who are charged to defend the national interests of the country itself. How are those charged with defending the citizens within the country not held to the same standard? How do people who claim to defend troops who are held to this standard excuse local police officers who cannot do the same? The logic seems to be nonexistent.

Because they're not nationally organized. I'm sure states and towns have similar rules but federal agents are held to a higher standard. The biggest issue I have with this is that I can understand mistakes happening in a high stress job, but you gotta have accountability if someone makes a mistake. In another job if you fukk around and kill someone on accident you're going to jail. I don't see why police get a pass.

the thing is, the cop who killed him won't get in trouble. He'll be suspended, maybe even fired. with pay. Then get another job in the next district over.
Now any other job, even armed forces like the army, if you accidentally killed someone, doesn't matter how or why. you will get some sort of court marshal or manslaughter charge and serve time in prison. And once you get out will be unable to work in that career ever again.

I use army as an example because people like to give Cops a pass and say its a dangerous high stress environment. So? I know people who discharged from the army for showing signs of PTSD. didn't even do anything wrong. Army just said, :patrice:nah we can't trust you with a weapon anymore :camby:

you can't go into any other military branches either :umad:

But with Cops its like, being fired is really just getting a paid vacation before being transferred.
:rudy:
In the military an accidental killing doesn't automatically equal time.

Cops don't have no escalation of force rules :snoop:

They are actually looking for confrontations with Black men so they can shoot and kill..legally!
Im still amazed people give these swine cops the benefit of the doubt to this day, even some Black folks. 'B b b bu but he didnt really mean it':damn:

Many cacs also enlist with the army to feed their blood lust. Sign up and get to kill as many brown people as youd like somewhere..

His dead family should sue for $100,000 000.00
