those arent issues specific to black women, these are issues that we suffer from collectively as a race.

when it comes to what you all are bytching about, its the same tired song. dead beat dads, nikkas wanting light skinned women and us being blamed for what 0.1% of black celebs are doing.

Yes, they actually are. Intersectionality exists. We are the group with the least wealth and socioeconomic status because we are black women. Excuse these stats, but 9 times as many black men are in prisons as black women, but STILL you as a group make more money and attain more wealth? There's something not right with that.

Dig deeper. Look at stats about the jobs men take that are relatively high paying but don't require education or a clean record necessarily. See that all races of men far outnumber women incarceration rates. Look at the number of women in college but then also look at whether it's a university or community college and the majors people choose. Notice how black men outnumber black women in high wage degree programs and professional schools. Stats only tell part of the story, especially when you do not dig very deep with them.

Exactly, breh. When they talk about Black women outnumbering Black men in college, they conveniently ignore the fact that most of the degrees Black women are racking up are in low-paying disciplines. Millions of Black women have sociology, psychology, women's studies, etc. degrees. You can tell those types. They are the ones on tumblr and LSA talking about "intersectionality," "appropriation," and other stuff. They are putting that education to use!

The pay differential exists because most Blue-collar jobs pay Black men more than a Black woman can earn with a sociology degree.

If Black women were racking up engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, etc. degrees in droves, their complaints would hold more weight.

except i don't believe whining to society (or black women) will increase the value of black life. i'm not complaining about black male beauty standards or colorism. nor am i trying to brow beat black women into an unnatural position.

once again, do you UNDERSTAND why women are valued? until black women can figure this out, they will never understand how to fix the problem

most of the confessions on that page are complaining about black men not wanting them. black women for the most part don't want white men.
