I remember losing my job last year because my company went bankrupt. I was fortunate because I got a severance package and since my career field is in finance, I was able to get a job within a couple of weeks after I applied for a new position. Thank GOD!
I can’t imagine losing my job just because some racist south Afrikaner decided black people didn’t deserve certain positions.
I just hope those women are able to bounce back from this set back and if their jobs are government positions, I hope they can transition that into another opportunity.
It’s really disgusting how some are laughing at the potential hardships those women may be facing, but again I know the disdain for black women is real for a certain subset on here. Wanting to see another person suffer for your own enjoyment is pretty despicable behavior.

I don't believe her. She was not serious in her applications. I don't think she was earnest.
She claims to have gone years as a single woman making less than 30k, but there are hundreds of entry level call center or service jobs that would immediately get her 45k or more with no education, age, or background requirements. Especially in that DC area .
She could also have retrained into countless fields that don't care about age. Rather than bad economic conditions, it seems more like she was stubborn. For instance, at the height of the 2008 recession I remember my own grandmother lost her job in her eaely 50s, but retrained to be a kidney technician and was employed until retirement.
