No school necessary but they do have both associates and certificate level coursework if you want to self sponsor your own training.
They mainly operate the dialysis facilities. So it's hooking people up to the machines and monitoring their vitals as the machines work their magic on their blood. An actual nephrologist (md) holds the license for the facility, but the day today operations of the place is left to kidney techs. Because of how unhealthy the American population is, there is a lot of demand for them. So much so that they actually hire people without any certification and train them on the job.
And in most states they make the same amount as nurses, without a lot of the stresses of the nursing industry like lifting people, changing diapers, dealing with vomit, being on your feet all day, etc.
Isn't that what all the Trump folks wanted; women and minorities to suffer?
