A small number of Egyptians might had mixed with some local West Africans and the origin story of that group got b*stardized through a game of telephone. That's the most likely scenario of these links. But to say that they made up a significant amount of the culture and genetic heritage is just dumb imo. The ancient Greeks/Macedonians reached India and some of the elite and soldiers mixed with some South Asians but to say that most South Asians have Greek ancestry and anything more than 2-3% is hilarious.

I would like to say that Egypt is African history, but we as decendents of West Africans don't have much relation to them. Egypt is still a historical marvel

I don't think that is true at all.

African Ancestry traced my paternal DNA to the Bissa people in Burkina Faso and Ghana. They are a Mande people. This what 23andme wrote about my paternal line:
