Damn. Times have seriously changed. I havent played ball in a while but I checked out the Nike tournaments they had in that Park near Barclays on Dean and seen KD come out here and drop a few in the park on Dekalb but other than that I havent heard much about summer tournaments throughout the city. I you tubed a clip of some old NYC ball footage and ran into some from Conrad McRae. I remember son dunked on the rim at Rucker so hard once and bent it.

Does Rucker even exist anymore or was it turned into some outdoor yoga studio?

Rucker is like Soul Train. You'll never hate it and the history will always be there but at some point you found something better to do at 12 pm on your Saturdays. It still gets love. I remember when Adam Silver and Stalley from MMG were there just this past summer chillin. The games are ok. The atmosphere is nothing like it used to be unless a star goes there (they still get those guys since the NBA sanctions Rucker, Dyckman and Hoops In The Sun).

Dyckman is an event. *is proud member of the Brugal section*

Speaking of the Catholic schools out here, I drove past Bishop Ford last weekend and they had a "save our school" banner hung up

:(
My HS is dealing with that shyt too. My school had to deal with all the incoming kids from Rice when they went under.

It costs so much and all the little scholarships and aids that were there are drying up

Dyckman was at one time a park satellite of the Rucker league.

Yeah, they spiked in popularity since the rise of Dominican Power. Even the HS games get props.

I hope they bring back the games at Rivington, with the NBA hardwood outside.

Isnt Bishop Ford closing?
I know the all girl school Mother Cabrini is gone

Just chcked the 2015 class top 60 on espn not one player is from nyc :mindblown:

ESPN is trash, they even said in a recruiting article a few months back they are not really into the recruiting game like they used to and that they are not going to devote the resources to it. Jessie Govan is a top 50 prospect but I'm not sure about his pro potential, ok back to the basket game but he is slow as shyt and unathletic. He's going to the right school in Georgetown tho.

pretty sure he's from the boro's but I gotta check, he transferred to Wings Academy in the BX, which was suprising in itself. you usually don't see kids go from a catholic/private school to a PSAL willingly.

I agree. My son goes to Catholic school and they are always looking for a handout. Luckily for his parish they have well to do members that donate quite a few dollars annually to keep their educational and sports activities afloat. I still think there is talent but the discipline isnt there anymore.

Does Riverside and Gauchos AAU still exist?

Riverside and Gauchos are still there but aren't poppin like that anymore. I remember when having a Gauchos shirt/drawstring bag meant something. Not anymore tho.....
