I’m focused on what the Spurs will do this coming season. Whatever Robinson or Manu or Duncan or Parker did 25 years ago doesn’t live in my mind.

The same cannot be said for a certain subset of the Purple and Gold.

You all ought to live in the present and enjoy the talent you’re watching today, instead of playing that Bruce Springsteen Glory Days on repeat like some goofy who peaked in high school.

Alot of Kobe stans get on my nerves but I must admit that there was some small talk about Kobe being the goat. From that 2008-2010 period specifically. Especially 2010. After he won in 2010, you have to remember he had 5 titles before Duncan got his fifth and just passed Shaq in titles. He got finals mvp for both too. You combine that with his scoring blitz in 2006 and yeah there was a little debate on if he was better than Jordan. Now they didn't outright say if he's the goat like they do with LeBron see they was more slick with it. They just say if he was better than Jordan and since most of us think Jordan is the goat, there you go. People forget about that time period tho because it was a short few years right before LeBron started winning and years before the warriors took over

Even with Kobe being my favorite basketball player, I can admit this. Because his game was so similar to Jordan's, you could see that he wasn't quite as good as MJ. Lebron's game is so different from Jordans, it's harder to make that 1 to 1 comparison (hopefully that makes sense).

Objectively, it is an insult. Why? Because he was just in arguments of being top 3 along with Mike and Bron. But all of a sudden within a year he’s out of the top 10. That’s agenda driven, not facts presented. Especially with so many players young and old calling him the GOAT or 1b to Mike, or top 3 of MJ, Kobe , and Bron in any order.

You don’t have to be a stan to object with fevor. People can make the same tense arguments for Tim being top 5, but that’ll make them stans? Some things are ho hum, but Kobe out of the top 10 is ridiculous and no one has given sound proof of why he should be. Just biased opinions, stupid ass “what if” scenarios, and rewriting history to fit their egotistical narrative. So yeah, it is an insult.

Once again, it’s not the list per se, it’s the reactions in agreeance with it. If Timmy was 11, I think you’d call the list BS too.

I’m not offended. That guy brought me a lot of joy when he played. That’s what matters.
