Nah we said “Kobe and Shaq”. First of all, it’s easier to say. Second of all, Kobe was more popular to kids than Shaq. You would’ve got clowned wearing Shaq sneakers at school.

This MF talmbat SHOES as criteria as a great player. Of course you got clowned wearing Shaqs at school because they sold them at WalMart.
That has nothing to do with Kobe being option 2 to Shaq - which he was.

LOL bruh…SHOES, doe. If we went off shoes that means Antoine Walker is arguably on Kobe‘s level. Toine’s Addidas was colder.

I wonder when people became Kobe fans, because I was a fan early on and people hated Kobe. Even Lakers fans were split on Kobe and the popular quote 'pass the ball Kobe' was a real thing. It wasn't until 2005-2006 season, when people started coming around on him and as the 'Kobe guy' I finally started to hear people say I was right about Kobe.

Later on in his career he became this mythical ball player, but it's not surprising as someone who was on this ride his whole career that some people have him rated lower.

I don’t know why niccas act like we be bullchittin’ telling the truth!!

Kobe was not loved in L.A. off top, he had to win the city over. Thank goodness he had early success.

Like how can you knock on Shaq for making his shoes affordable for kids

It's always the nikkas with thousands of neg rep that post this stuff. Makes sense why you got the equivalent of a 300 FICO Score :umad:
lol…

Bear in mind it’s lower than normal bc I just had an inquiry for a big purchase. Has it ever occurred to you that the reason I haven’t even cracked 5k posts after being here for 10 years is because I’m actually successful and have a fukking life? Keep projecting though lil bro we see you :umad: :dead:

You seem emotional. Show me where he acknowledged branding issues. What part of he was one of the biggest NBA star pre Colorado is hard for you to comprehend? Only one bigger was Shaq. He had every brand. Coke, Adidas, McDonald’s, etc. How is that a branding issue? I’m calling you out on your bullshyt and all you keep doing is doubling down on your lies. The ad hominems won’t work with me lol. Try again

Not emotional. I really don't even care.

And yes, he spoke on it before. If I saw it, then there's no way you havnt seen multiple clips a thousand times. 😆

And again, I'm not referring to brand placement. Youre either not comprehending or you're purposely trying to shift the conversation elsewhere.

Wtf do yall be saying? The way you guys just get up on here and lie to disrespect Kobe is just insane. Now he was not in any of the top 3 conversations and his biggest debate was Kobe/Duncan?

Man get out of here with all that bullshyt. I don't care where you rank Kobe on your own personal list but please stop lying. Kobe was being debated as the greatest of all time so many times throughout his career, and was constantly being compared to Jordan/Lebron before that "Jordan tried to use Kobe as a shield" narrative you trying to push.

No, it was just you fanboys circl-jerking with each other about him being the greatest, and arguing with people who wasted time entertaining that nonsense. 😆

Now yoursle sgell-shocked when you take a peak out of la-la land.(no pun)

Yea, you definitely wore Shaq sneakers :heh:

And you were definitely one of the posters on SOHH hating on Kobe back in 2009. Now you just an old hater trying to revise history. No one was calling Kobe a sidekick in the early 2000s except people that hated the Lakers. Yall should be banned for getting on here and lying :manny: if we could go back in time to 2002 and ask the average teenager about Kobe, the wide majority would say he was one of their favorite players. Not present this narrative that he was Shaq’s flunky.

@Taadow And the point I was making was that you were MUCH MORE likely to see people wearing Kobe’s shoes and Kobe’s jersey than to see them in Shaq’s. Theres no universe where people wore Pippen’s stuff MORE than Jordan’s. You know this is true that’s why you saying it doesn’t matter :umad: The point is that Kobe was popular with fans. Which goes against your narrative that everyone thought he was a flunky. Why is everyone wearing the merchandise of a “sidekick/flunky” but not the head nikka in charge? That doesn’t make sense @Taadow

Naw breh after he won those back to back titles they were debating if he was better than Jordan. Alot of us thought he was probably going to get number 6. From 2006 to 2010 Kobe was being compared to Mike. There's no reason to lie about it. For some reason the media is trying to erase that time period for whatever reason

I think you're confusing the media with SOHH.

:mjlol: Kobe's shoes have been easily the #1 shoe amongst NBA players since he introduced the low tops. Antoine Walker? LOL, you nikkas are beyond pathetic.
