fam, these athletes do not care about any of that. They care about winning and which program showcases their talents the best so they can play in hte NFL.without looking up i can tell you that Ann Arbor, Columbus, Madison and those southern college towns have a bigger black population than Lincoln
but i guess Nebraska has no competitive disadvantage because today's elite prospects grew up idolizing Tom Osborne![]()

where was the disadvantage when they were dominant for an entire decade and had top 5 recruiting classes for all of Osborne's tenure?hell yeah factors like demographics and weather play a significant role when recruiting elite talent
i don't understand why you and @mastermind won't admit that Nebraska has a competitive disadvantage
apparently the Nebraska administration has the same mindstate you have which is why they fired Peliniwhere was the disadvantage when they were dominant for an entire decade and had top 5 recruiting classes for all of Osborne's tenure?
what is the appeal of Tuscaloosa for a recruit?
was just waiting for the HBCU argumentfam, these athletes do not care about any of that. They care about winning and which program showcases their talents the best so they can play in hte NFL.
If it were as important as you are suggestion, players would goto HBCUs or only play in coastal cities where there are large black populations.
You have no idea what you are talking about.![]()
one of the stupidest things ive read on here. Im serious.was just waiting for the HBCU argument
the sport equivalent of "what about black on black crime?"
just admit that Nebraska has location disadvantages compared to other traditional powerhouses

that was in the 20th century brehone of the stupidest things ive read on here. Im serious.
In college football, there are no location disadvantages. You will be surprised about where some of these universities are located and the number of people in those towns.
If Nebraska got a better coach, they would be back and back quick.
Nebraska used to get players out of Florida and Southern California, ffs. Not only that, but this was in the post civil-rights era. Location means nothing unless you are in LA or Florida.
it was post civil rights era.that was in the 20th century breh
Nebraska recruiting hasn't been popping like that in a long, long time
are you going to answer the question?apparently the Nebraska administration has the same mindstate you have which is why they fired Pelini
Tom Osborne retired after 1997. 17 years ago.
Tommie Frazier ain't walking through that door
Ahman Green ain't walking through that door
thank you for proving my point
if you believe that with the right coach Nebraska can go back to winning 3 championships in 4 years, then more power to youit was post civil rights era.
Nebraska's recruiting fell off because they dont have the coach to bring guys in to the program. Pelini was a fukk boy.
this dudeif you believe that with the right coach Nebraska can go back to winning 3 championships in 4 years, then more power to you

this dude
WHere in the world did I say that would happen?
If Nebraska got a better coach, they would be back and back quick.

why are you being obtuse?back from what? they just won 10, 9,10, 9 and 9 games in the past 5 years
so i assumed you meant going back to being the dominant force they were in the 90's
or did you mean going back to those Callahan years?![]()
