no choice these days... everyone has a 360... Justin Bieber has a 360... it all boils down to the splits, to be from the hood and get 100k advance, and these dudes may be taking 20% of everything else, meaning merch, show money etc. To the average nikka it's nothing to scoff at I can see the rationale. Add on to the fact that once your first album drops, your first contract is pretty much null and void. You always set the table again after 1 successful record. It's a way to play that shyt in your favor, you just have to be consistently successful to turn the tables completely.
That being said, he made a bad move. He's got one chance to knock it out the park and if he don't it's a wrap. Luckily he's with Sha Money XL, so it may work out. Thing is i've seen Sha fail with the whole Riz situation. His logic is a little dated as far as street artist and whatnot. But this nikka Bobby has the ENERGY right now. My guess is Bobby prolly settled in at around 50,000 with another 25-50 after delivery. That way if they reject delivery of the record they can drop him and not pay him the other half. It all depends on the next move, the timing and the visuals. I think he shoulda established his brand a little more, even if he did sign he shoulda just used that label reach and announced it a year later. That's what everyone has been doing. Wish him the best tho, he's in the best position he will EVER be in right now. Hopefully everyone that's piggybacking his wave right now genuinely believes in him and will steer him in the right direction.

The way it seems, this dude don't seem like the sharpest cat out, he prolly better off doing the label thing. That Indy grind takes a lot of hardwork, time and business smarts. It ain't for everybody. With some good management a label deal could blow him up, provided they actually support him.
