Not sure there is that much upside in crude prices. The big thing here is that the price will seemingly stabilize above levels where shale producers would stop producing on a mass scale. Whoever can cut costs the most efficiently is going to outperform in this market.

I used to not have a problem with HFT but the more I look at it the more ridiculous it is. Is this adding any liquidity? 3,600+ 2 share trades in 3.25 seconds in Alcatel-Lucent.

Not to mention some algo with Goldman Sachs did a bunch of quote stuffing this morning and didn't place a single order.

I keep hearing about a bubble in high yield debt.

Investors are yield hungry with Treasuries, Bunds, Japanese bonds, etc at all time lows. Not surprising. Thought I read something earlier this week that spreads had widened in recent weeks though.

I don't know man, 10 straight quarters of declining sales, like you said it's below it's 200 and 50 DMA = bearish.

The CEO says weird shyt like the industry is moving faster than IBM is.

They did get rid of the server business which was a good move.

The thing is it was a leader in the tech industry and blue chip stock for so long I don't know if you can give up on it. Positives though - they are really focusing on cloud services, they made a partnership with apple and bought an interesting company called SoftLayer.

I'm kind of torn on whether it's a buy or not. I'd like to see them devote some money to R&D or an acquisition instead of just keep buying back their stock.

Both were overvalued and could stand to lose some dollars per share... but I still wouldn't bet against Hastings or Bezos

what is the purpose in doing that? distorting the amount of actual trades/value?
