Any of y’all got money parked in Robinhood? I’m tempted for 5.5% for 60 days and a 5% base rate. SoFi only at 4.6%. Only thing is Robinhood isn’t a bank.

I might sell the rest of my Meta and buy some nvda after the split. That shyt is a mover.

"Each record holder of common stock as of the close of market on Thursday, June 6, 2024, will receive nine additional shares of common stock, to be distributed after the close of market on Friday, June 7, 2024. Trading is expected to commence on a split-adjusted basis at market open on Monday, June 10, 2024."

Basically, as long as I make a purchase before June 6 EOD, I should be fine if I want to take advantage of the split (and can afford to make a purchase before the split). I think it should hopefully go down a little between now and then, no?

Is it best to buy before the split or after?
Personal preference. Past big tech splits stall a bit (and sometimes dips) after splits (Google, Apple, Amazon, Tesla) before they start to run again. NVDA may be different with the AI hype. The end result will be about the same if you are DCA'ing into it.

What if the price goes to 1,200?

If the price of NVIDIA stock goes up to $1,200 before the split, then here's how it would play out after the 10-for-1 stock split:

Price before the split: $1,200
Split ratio: 10-for-1
After the split:

Without split adjustment: The price per share would appear to be $1,200 / 10 = $120. This is because each pre-split share is being divided into 10 post-split shares. However, this price doesn't take into account the stock split.
With split adjustment: The actual post-split price considering the split would be $1,200 (pre-split price) / 10 (split ratio) = $120 per share.
So, even though the pre-split price might reach $1,200, the post-split price per share would still be around $120 due to the stock split. The total value of your holdings would remain the same after the split adjusts on the effective date.
