started a small position in JMIA today after reading this article Jumia short-seller Andrew Left changes his mind, now buying shares

potential is crazy if it manages to corner the e-commerce market in africa. that said, i still got some concerns about it so i'm not ready to make it a larger % of my portfolio. just buying shares for now, ive been buying mainly LEAP calls on my other e-commerce plays (BABA, SE, MELI, JD) which has been the past couple weeks. not planning to take profits on anything until after the election, all my shyt has a good chance of pumping more on a biden win although that's probably mostly priced in at this point

I understand the risk of capital gains tax but everything else is out of that administration AND there is reason to believe that a Biden presidency will be great for certain sectors AND there will be more stability and as an investor they should want stability in the market.

yup. and wouldn't china trade relationship be more stable with biden? i don't worry about capital gains tax anymore since i'm just gonna long hold most of my investments.

cramer thinks nordie's might die unless they merge. that would make me , they're literally the only department store worth shopping at, great customer service, killer return policy, best merchandise mix (IMO)...bloomingdale's is aight, but i've had too many moments from their sales associates, had to remind them which one of us was working a minimum wage job and which one had the money to spend on their overpriced shyt.

the death of the department store (and malls) will never not fascinate me since i'm part of that last generation for whom the mall was a pivotal shopping, social and entertainment spot. i really don't understand what happened where teens wasn't about kickin it at the mall and using it as a spot to get numbers

I’m mostly tech at this point and no longer care. Diversifying kills some of my gains, most of these non tech companies don’t got long term big gain potential.
