I sure wouldn't mind an opinion here...

I'm in NYBD basically just to flip on rumors, got like 1 k in it. However, today some nice ass PR got released, and it was way better than expected. Usually not the case in the OTC...U guys think it's TOO nice of a PR to be true with the things listed below?

Positives: The PR officially confirmed the ticker change from NYBD to AQUA (bauwcce ass name, since they are in the business of selling kiddie water). A picture was released on the companys FB site of a nice amount of product ready to be shipped, aka real business - check.

Today's PR also stated that the company is in talks with Publix, AND they plan to uplist on the OTCBB...

Negatives: The CEO doesn't have the best rep possible, but who does in the OTC. There's also rumors from fairly reliable guys, that dilution of 1.5 bil will hit the block tomorrow around 1 hour after open. The PR was released today after hours.

1. not saying this is the advice you should follow, I have an entire portfolio that is invested in other things - a natural hedge if oil does continue upward in the short term

2. what broker do you use?

3. no margin account is necessary for buying naked call/pull or spreads.

4. You should be able to find option chains in your online brokerage account and select the month of expiry and the strike price for a ticker.

We dont need nigerias oil. Theres plenty of supply out there, both domestic and international.

I don't know much about this company specifically, but penny plays (especially triple sub) are always risky

Just try to get in before the pump and out during it, if you hold on too long you'll see the PPS and your profits freefall (been there way too many times). Have a firm exit strategy and don't second guess it.

Bear in mind PR means nothing. Most penny stock PR is literally just a bunch of lies. It's simply a matter of who lies the best and has the semblance of a real business to pull it off convincingly. I did call their 1-800 number just now and dialed through to customer service and it went directly to a voicemail. That's not the sign of a thriving company. However the fact they have a working number is a plus, you'd be surprised how many OTC have disconnected phone lines

Point is just make sure you set a profit target and stick to it. Don't listen to the pumpers on ihub who say it's headed to $5 a share. Make whatever your goal is and get out. Treat penny stocks like women, get your nut off, don't fall in love. Having said that you'll probably make a few bucks on this one, AQUA is a boss ticker. I'll probably jump into NYBD too because it does look like a nice pump is on the way

EDIT: Scottrade won't let me buy it online, it's telling me to call a local branch, not good. I can usually trade pennies on ST with no problems, they flagged this one for some reason

Looking for a safe investment 1+ year out. Do you guys think PFE will be a good hold for 1 year? Any other recs would be greatly appreciated

Pfizer is a big blue chip. You can't really go wrong with them for the long haul.

The only thing I would say is to do some research and make sure patents aren't running out on any of their major drugs.

edit: Do you have your money in other stocks as well? I'm not sure I'd throw the whole thing in one stock.
