Me personally, I noticed a while ago that the dude Drake portrays now isn't the same as the dude he was before YMCMB and even right after he signed with them. That said, there's something to be said for the natural passage of time and life experiences. Does that explain the southern drawl at times?
No. But if you take a child actor from the suburbs and throw him into the industry and have him experience all that I'm sure he experienced, it's not beyond plausibility that he would naturally change. I know who I was in highschool isn't who I was by the end of college or now (at the age of 26, same age Drake is).
Drake on Room for Improvement doesn't sound how he does now, but that was a change for the better. He's technically much more sound and polished. Is there some CB4 gusto with Aubrey? Yes
Did dude used to pronounce nikka in a way that would make Riley Cooper look like Marcus Garvey? Yes Was he more likely to be referring to bagels instead of hip hop if he mentioned the lox back in the day?
