Got it. Do you know around how much people like Jacoby, Jay Williams, Jalen Rose, etc were making at ESPN?

I don't know anyone's salary unfortunately.

I wish I did tho. I'm sure it's likely close to, at or above 7 figures for all of them........because TV money is DIFFERENT from what I'm hearing.

That makes sense. Advertisers are throwing more money at live TV with the rise of streaming. How much do Ringer hosts on podcasts like The NBA Show make?

Yep I heard that too on his last update. But it is what it is. It's so many Podcasts out, I get behind on any secondary podcasts and his was not on that list of secondary podcasts that I listen to. But stay away too long and :yeshrug:.

me personally...

I've been listening since the Morning Jones radio show. I'll continue to follow whatever he does, but I've heard almost every story and take he has on sports at this point. he still has a good perspective though, when Jim Brown died, I thought he gave the most rational take on his life of anyone in sports media.

that being said, I honestly prefer to hear his opinions on other shyt, not even politics, just random cultural events. whatever he ends up doing, I hope it's more of that or he does more evening jones episodes than he has been doing in recent years. it's crazy to think that shyt used to be weekly for years too. then it just stopped being weekly and became annually or bi-annually. :wow:

Word I'm in the same boat. Yeah big corporate sports talk isn't the move for him at this point.

Got it. Do you know around how much people like Jacoby, Jay Williams, Jalen Rose, etc were making at ESPN?
This is from 2018 for Jalen.
It’s a big, costly swing for the network, including leasing a 21,000-square-foot studio and office complex in Manhattan’s South Street Seaport and nearly $15 million in talent salaries ($6.5 million for Greenberg, 50; $5 million for Beadle, 42; and $3 million for Rose, 45, sources say). Greenberg has worked with Rose on various ESPN platforms but never with Beadle, who returned to the network in 2014 after less than two years at NBC.

Big Money: ESPN has been scaling back on salaries. Jones previously had a three-year contract that averaged more than $2 million per year, according to sources. In Jones’ next contract, which was agreed to after “High Noon,” his show with Pablo Torre, was canceled, ESPN cut Jones’ salary to a little more than $1 million per year on a two-year deal. That current contract expires in March.
