Kinda sounds like Recursion by Blake Crouch that I read earlier this yr but I luv me a good book that plays with time and/or memory :ehh:

same, thats why i picked it up. When the main character dies, he gets reborn in the same place/year...almost like New Game+ in a videogame.

In his first life he might get married to a woman, but in his second, lets say he joins the military instead. He still has the memories of the previous marriage but his wife doesnt know who he is now.

I added Recursion to my Goodreads

I'ma add that first '15 Lives' book to my Storygraph To Read list. Shyt, the thought of living through 15 lives is exhausting, but the concept of making different choices with accumulated knowledge is one I think we've all pondered about fr---like inserting your present mind into your younger self type ish.

Anything in particular in it that fukked you up? was it the ending?
Have you read it? Either way without giving away too much I'll say yes the ending did fukk me up but moreso it was the overall tone of the story. The allegory was strong enough that you could see all of the ways people could reason themselves into cannibalism. We see, experience, and act out the same type of cognitive dissonant behavior everyday :francis:
