Good to know :martin:

As long as she's exploring more of the world than Gont, Pendor & whatever sea that was, that'll be cool I guess.
That's understandable but with what we ended up getting was really good if you are into Ursula K Le Guin's writing

Yesterday I read Three Gold Crowns by Paul Ernest under the house name, "Kenneth Robeson"
It is the #14 book in the Avengers series from the 1940s.
Its a short pulp men's adventure story of pulp hero Richard Benson using the moniker The Avenger, along with his team, Justice, Inc., trying to undercover the mystery surrounding the death of an assistant of a man who is being blackmailed into giving up one million dollars.
What I found interesting is that in Justice, Inc. there are two black members and they aren't racial stereotypes.

Couldn't find a good picture of the cover but it is this without the border

This didn't pop to me like his reimagining of Troy did, but I guess that is somewhat to be expected given the events. But once the story locked in on Odysseus and not the connective tissue of all of the side characters post Troy, that's where it really had me. I'll probably go byke and read Mythos and Heroes after reading these two now (at some point).

Interesting. Might look into it next year to get prepared for the Odyssey movie

Went ahead and read one of the books I ordered from that eBay seller I linked earlier.
Spinning Target by Joseph Nazel. The fifth book in his Iceman series.
This was a really fun book, to me. It reminded a bit of Black Dynamite mixed with Shaft. The book is fast paced, filled with some good action scenes, and it does have some funny parts.
Ice is a one man killing machine but he also has three women that sometimes help out, and a friend named Christmas Tree (Tree for short) that reminds me of Cream Corn from Black Dynamite :mjlol:

This is a good read. I forgot where I was referred to it.

I disagree with some of the aspects. I think its the flashcards. I see and I see stand how it works. But I've used other methods which work better.

I think they may work for word association to nouns but once you learn verbs and adjectives, you can pretty much put sentences together and communicate.

Reading Once Upon in Time in Hollywood.

Normally I dont like movies about movies, but reading the book has helped me understand the movie a lot more, why Quentin made it, and his love for old Hollywood not the CGI Marvel bullshyt of today but those old movies and TV shows.
You can just really tell how passionate Quentin is for a piece of history thats been lost due to technology.

Also the books an easy read

I love movies about old Hollywood. I have had that book sitting on my table for over a year now. I might get to it before the year is up

Starship Troopers wasn't the fascist lover letter I was led to believe. I would love to see a movie made that was closer to the book than what we got
I fukkin hated this book :scust: I don't know how some of these classics get so much praise

I have the trilogy of the Foundation series that I need to go ahead and read. I've been putting it off for over a year now. I liked the other books from Asimov that I had read so I feel a bit more confident that I will like Foundation
