I don't see what the big deal is. J. Cole made a great album IMO. The Yeezus is album is similar to his 808 and Heartbreak album. Its a vent album where he breaks away from the core Kanye that we are used to. He does not care about sales for this album and its still doing number...will be gold in a couple more weeks will little promotion and no single on the radio. I think he wanted to make people mad, especially the media. He just wanted to say the most outrageous stuff on his mind. When Kanye goes back into lab to do his usual work and drop hot singles and actually promote, he will blow most artist out the water when it comes to sales. Album sales mean nothing when you can sell out arenas globally. Whats a dollar and dream to yeezy who makes six figures in euros per show?

J. Cole is at a pace to go gold in 3 weeks with his single "Power Trip" being the hottest rap song right now and u call that irrelevant :youngsabo:

:whoa: Cole is relevant to me, I'm a fan

I was referring to these other cats, that aren't really hip to hip hop, if you know what i mean :smugdraper:

What does being relevant really mean though? "Billie Jean" is over 25 years old, Michael Jackson is dead, his daughter tried to kill herself, but when you put that record on at a party, people still rock out to it. "My Girl" by the Temptations gets spins every single day on radios nationwide even though the song was made in 1964. So explain to me why relevancy is important when it comes to someones music.

Relevancy has nothing to do with who I listen to personally, I was just stating how out of touch nikkas really are with J. Cole (not necessarily me and you) to be referring to his 2nd album as Cole World. :lavell:

Kanye will still go plat...yall forget his international fanbase/sales. Soundscan doesn't account for that. He'll be aite. This just signals that his mainstream/casual fans may have moved on to the next one. His fanbase from day 1 still got him.

But :salute: to Cole.

I consider myself a day 1 fan of ye, from back when he was producing up to finally dropping college dropout, I'm actually the kind of fan that ain't fukking with this album. If you were a fan of that ye, then this is the furthest thing from what made you a fan in the first place, as I've said many times before, yeezus is a slap in the face to his core audience (and to good sounding music in general)
