It's not about good, it's about pragmatism.
At the end of the day, SOMEONE is going to be calling the shots.
I'd much rather have someone who is working towards 50% of my interests than someone actively trying to destroy me. I'd much rather keep the literal klan member away from power than then milquetoast "hey, lets all find common ground" liberal.
Any time I hear someone say "both sides" I automatically question their intelligence. I understand one's frustration with the wishy-washy Democrat, but the tactic of abstinence in regards to voting makes zero sense if you actually understand American politics.

@Black Panther are right... these "both sides" critiques, 100% of the time, are made to convince liberals/leftists not to vote for Democrats. It's never a conservative convincing a Republican... because even they aren't that stupid.
