Been looking for a boxing gym in the DMV area, but searches don't really bring many results. I see a lot of boxing "boutiques" where it's circuit training in a heavy bag with trainers(catered towards white folks). Are boxing gyms going out because of UFC? Anybody in the area know of a gym that's not popping up on Google?

I've noticed in my area at least, a lot of small gyms that are strictly for boxing haven't really mastered the internet game (or don't care to) and don't have much of a web presence.

yep there should be classes focused on each sport, you could also do muay thai which is pretty much boxing but with more weapons(knees, kicks, clinch, elbows, hands).

I can feel that, but I'm not trying to be on a quest to find the mythical boxing gym in 2018. I work in inner-city and wanted to get a few of my students involved as well as myself, but can't find anything other than the aforementioned group training aerobic classes punching the bag.
