Been looking for a boxing gym in the DMV area, but searches don't really bring many results. I see a lot of boxing "boutiques" where it's circuit training in a heavy bag with trainers(catered towards white folks). Are boxing gyms going out because of UFC? Anybody in the area know of a gym that's not popping up on Google?
Whatever gym u choose take a few days to check the temperature, if someone skilled is hyping you as a "next great fighter" and ppl want to spar you after a day or 2 either you good or you bout to get beat like really attacked a lot of real gyms do this to see what ya attitude really is toward the sport and if it's worth the time training u

Old School Boxing gym in Hillcrest in SouthEast DC (around Big 3-0 hood). Puerto rican guy owns it, and his son is going pro. Thank me later

This his son

Cool people. Grew up with him.

most boxing gyms don’t do you proper justice unless you make them work for you. there’s just not much of a boxing culture in the US like other countries like say the UK. Most is done for aerobic ability rather than training
