I swear some of you guys are fukking idiots.

I guess there's no point in upgrading at the receiver because the uncertainty at QB. Here's a brilliant idea, why don't you build around the position by upgrading the receivers. That way whatever QB comes in (whether it's Geno or not) has receivers to throw to. Instead of asking "who's gonna throw to the receiver" you could ask "who's the QB gonna throw to" But I guess that doesn't matter right? :stopitslime:

I swear, the NFL has brainwashed you guys into believing that the QB is the end all be all, and nothing else matters. And you morons all bought it, hook line and sinker :snoop:

There were better receivers available, without having to make a trade for a guy who was going to be released anyways. The move is meh to me, but hey the fans know best since they put up a billboard.

And if Geno is your QB, that is the end all be all unfortunately.

Geno can't play under center and is turnover prone. He could have Megatron and Peterson and that still wouldn't change.

He's developed under center just as most spread QBs have when given a lack of weapons. Most spread QBs struggle under center until they become acclimizated enough to succeed. Bortles played under center and sucked in Jacksonville this past year in spite of an athletic and growing receiving. Carr came out of the spread and put up 5.5 YPA. He hasn't proven he can play under center either. Foles came out of a spread system and sucked last year too. In his last 5 games Geno played well enough under center to win and showed improvement. Turnovers are fixable and mitigated by development, experience and better weapons. Geno's turnover rate dropped this year as well. In Gailey's system Geno will be playing in shotgun mostly anywa.

Bortles sucks and so did Carr last year. These are the same excuses we were making for Sanchez...what QB turned it over at the rate Geno has and fixed it?

only read the first page but apprently only 1 person knows what they are talking about
Percy harvin is as good as gone. Marshall/Decker/Kerley/Amaro is more than good tho. Chris Johnson is garbage and outta here. Geno Smith will not be the QB especially if Mariotta falls to the Jets, Jets will Trade for Nick Foles and the eagles 1st and 2nd round picks. Draft a CB in the first, get creative with the 2 second round picks. Sign Antonio Cromartie back. Trade Dee Milliner for Jahari Evans. And bam you looking at the best team in the AFC east
:ohhh::lupe::blessed::salute:

But if we can keep Percy :ohlawd:

Geno fixed his turnover rate in the second part of last season. So we already know he's capable of playing well both with and in spite of turnovers. So long as he puts up points, like Flacco and Romo do, then he can start. Dalton has a relatively high turnover rate too and he is a starter in spite of turnovers, and that's because of the offensive support he is given.

Sanchez is a different case to Geno. He didn't come out of a pure spread, lacks physical ability and he failed well into his 3rd and 4th years, in spite of additional line and receving support. If Geno fails in the same way then it's time to move on. But until then he should start. After all, if Geno plays next season as well as he did the second part of the last season, Geno will have played better than Sanchez ever did on a consistent basis,

Geno had one good game in December last year. He wasnt even allowed to throw against the Dolphins on the MNF game. He got slightly better from being the worst QB in the NFL last year...I do not see the upside at all. Dumb decision making isnt fixed.

Carr numbers are skewed. Dudes prowess came from short passes
His numbers are more skewed by the fact his supporting cast is terrible. Guys running the wrong routes, dropping easy passes, no running game. He has the poise of a vet and a really quick release. He put up great number considering the circumstances. :obama:

Geno has routinely torched the Dolphins, including in his last game, but even excluding that game Geno performed like a starter hence. In the Bills' game where he threw 3 INTs, he was throwing to a newly-acquired Harvin and UDFA Cumberland. This is a glimpse into how well he played in the final half:

Outside of that game, Geno was actually quite good after the Harvin trade. With Harvin, he went 88/134 (65.67%) for 1155 yards, 6 TDs, and 3 INTs. His passer rating was 98.3. This is compared to the first half of the season without Harvin, in which Geno went 129/225 (57.23%) for 1365 yards (6.07 Y/A), 7 TDs, and 7 INTs. Passer rating was 72.5.

Just in terms of footwork, accuracy and anticipation, Geno has noticeably improved since first entering the league. I see plenty of upside when a second year QB plays well and puts up great numbers in a series of games. Mac and Bowles have so far expressed the notion that Geno will start so they obviously share some of that optimism.
