Thing is, Freeman will eventually get it going. He’s too good of a hitter not to. Rosario has been great the entire time he’s been here. That was a great move by AA. Riley is doing what a cleanup hitter is supposed to do, and he’s hitting for power and average. I’m excited to see him continue to grow.

This pitching staff has been good. They have been clutch; especially the bullpen. I won’t speak on Smith, because I don’t want to jinx it, but the middle relievers have come in and pretty much shut teams down when needed. We’ve got it set up good, too, with Morton going tomorrow and Fried and Anderson for games 5 and 6 if necessary. If it goes 7, there’s no one I’d rather have than Morton on the mound.

The Rays have completely changed baseball. Yes.. they haven't won it all yet but they've completely changed the game and they have a ton of former executives spread throughout the league...

i don't necessarily think the Yanks and Dodgers should stop using their resources. in fact, i think it's dumb for them to want to be the Rays because they can never be the Rays. They aren't as smart.

Guess it's an ego thing.. The expanded playoffs and revenue sharing have leveled the playing field some... the only advantage the big teams have now is to go deep into that luxury spending..

But at the end of the day it's a business and they want to have a bigger return on investment which means spending less and hopes of making more while spending less.

George wouldn't have cared. Winning was his main objective over everything.

Also.. last year's series counts Lol. Sure i'd love to say it doesn't but all the teams that made it would have been there in October. it was always going to be the Rays/Astros/Yanks/Dodgers/Braves with a couple different clubs mixed in.

We had a 2-0 lead last year and a 3-1 lead against this Dodger team and we didn't finish. A 2-0 lead is nice and we needed it but the series is not over at all...

Without Kershaw, and without Soroka for us, neither team has a solid #4 starter so hence the bullpen game. With no Max Muncy and no Acuna, these teams are a lot more even talent wise than people will admit.

eh i see what you sayin but i'm not gonna call Max and Acuna even .... Acuna is a top 5 all around player in the game bruh and we miss him a lot :whoa:
