Serious question.

Where does the CIA stand on this? :lupe:

Cause...I could legit see Langley..."fix" this :mjpls:

Uh why would the CIA want to fix this? :dwillhuh:

Since when did the CIA not support authoriatarian governments ? Especially Bolosnaro who said he welcomes US corporate interests to come in and have free reign and right wing governments post-WW2 usually have the same goals as the military and intelligent agencies in the United States. It's usually left leaning groups and governments that threaten Western dominance and tend to try and break free of being under the thumb of the West.

Hope you're not basing this off the fantasy narrative that because the CIA appears to be anti-trump (they are against this situation. I'm sure there will be a huge demand for military equipment for police and military in Brazil and those are our customers .

Apparently there is a Brazil newspaper that is reporting that the Colombian President is open for intervention into Venezuela unless Bolsonaro leads such an operation with US backing.

Chile and Argentina are :francis::whoa: to the plan and won’t get involved.
This ought to end well. You pro Venezuela intervention people here in HL should be happy that you got a man in Brazil and The White House who want to intervene in Venezuela. Don’t be sad. :mjlit:

The Latin American left is in crisis thanks to the genius Maduro :francis:

He wasn't alone in that disaster.

I'm pretty far to left and and leftist governments in Latin America have been a disaster for the most part.

The PT royally fukked up and were corrupt as the day is long. That's still no excuse for electing a fascist obviously.

It's disappointing that seeing black and brown children sick, starving, and dying in Venezuela warrants no action in your opinion.

I think you felt the same way about Sunni children in Syria and Iraq so maybe it's just who you are.

This is quite tragic for the environment alone. I know people say that should be the least of our issues with his presidency but it in fact should be one of the greatest. The Amazon rain forest stabilizes the planet by absorbing carbon dioxide. With an already warming world him opening up the rainforests to big business makes things extremely worse off. We are totally screwed. And by "we" I mean the entire planet. Future generations will look upon the Brazilian populace of our time with great scron and resentment.

Or should future generations look at the Western world for churning out CO2 emissions at a maddening rate for the sake of "economic" growth. You can't grow on fossil fuels and then get angry when another country follows your lead especially when you espouse the ethos of capitalism as the solution.

The chickens are coming home to roost.

Someone has to give me a middle ground approach to what's going on with Maduro in Venezuela.

A simple who, what, where and why?

Brazil's environmental situation is pretty dismal from what I've read along with most of the developing world.... point taken though

Lula and his party did bring millions of Brazilians out of absolute poverty with little effort. I wouldn't say his tenure was a disaster given those real accomplishments. Of course the party was corrupt but corruption is endemic in Brazilian (and more generally South American) politics and not exclusive to the left.
Of course South American conservatives are much better at associating corruption with the more left-leaning parties.

Dominance is usually formed through military action.

Israel established itself through military to its neighbors.

Maduro wants to establish his regime separate from Chavez then I could see him welcoming a chance to flex and distract with an outside force.

Oh look at you being cute. Thinking supporting intervention into Venezuela makes you pro black.:mjlol: Lol bruh you support Zionist Israel over the Palestinians and black Israelis.:mjlol:

Overthrowing a government is easy but replacing is the hard part. Ok you remove Maduro what happens to the hundreds of armed collectivos and Chávezista Bolivarian militias who are heavily armed? You think the violence and chaos gets better? As we seen in Iraq,Libya,Yemen and a lesser extent Syria that when the central government is overthrown you have more chaos and infighting. Best believe the same will happen in Venezuela. And who do you replace Maduro with? The military is vastly corrupt. The supergamgs in Venezuela will get stronger as collectivos and pro Chávez miltia men joint their ranks which will worsen the security situation as they will match the military firepower to firepower. I don't see how an American and Brazilian intervention would help to stop the chaos and poverty currently plaging Venezuela. Trump and Bolsonaro just aren't competent enough to solve such problems. Hey but you trust a Trump/Bolsonaro/Duque lead invasion into Venezuela will turn the nation back to the Swiss of South America again. Nothing could possibly go wrong. And regarding the Sunni children in Iraq the US bombed Mosul to the stone age killing plenty Sunnis so does that makes them anti Sunni. Your whole foreign policy steez is America first and America does no wrong and America is the best just like white conservatives.

But hey why debate me. Bolsonaro,Duque and Trump are all for intervention in Venezuela I’m sure these three men will care about the black and brown people suffering in Venezuela. I’m really sure of it because their record has shown it. So y’all will get what you have been clamoring for. :yeshrug:
