we are over two years in with hella vaccine options. anyone getting covid shouldn't be news worthy at this point for a disease with an over 99.5% survival rate.
I mean, it’s the president though.

Can we all finally agree the vaccine doesn't stop the spread of the virus or one's ability to contract covid? It only reduces the severity of the disease.

Explaining how vaccines work requires more nuance because this type of immunity works on a population level. Vaccines do help to reduce the spread when enough people are vaccinated/have immunity.

word people forget trump was inches from death before they pumped him with every experimental drug they had in the kitchen sink :wow:

if he got covid just a few months earlier he would have been done-done, they had to get Emergency Use Authorization to give him regeneron.

Yes and no. The vaccine reduces the time one is likely to shed the virus, so on a community scale you are correct. On an interpersonal level, it make no difference as the people in your home and work life will still be in close contact with you within the shortened window contagion. What people fail to realize is due to the "Leaky" nature of the vaccine, if everyone were vaccinated we'd end up with a situation like Marek's disease in chickens. So it's only good to vaccinate the most vulnerable, not en masse.
